Revision rhinoplasties have different dynamics than primaries. Especially if the patient has thick skin, over-corrections& manuevers for tip elevation& projection ; tip&supratip break refinement, dorsal restoration depend on different factors due to more unpredictable scarring, wound contraction, skin redrape, cartilage memory and the behaviour of the various type of gratfs that are used during surgery aiming for spesific goals. We take into account many more factors during wound healing which make the equation more complex and unpredictable. That’s why in the very early post op things may look a bit more over corrected to overcome a failed previous wound healing. I performed tip deprojection and refinement, bridge restoration& supratip augmentation for a staight, narrower bridge with a natural supratip break and alar reduction for flaring for this gorgeous parient of mine from Sweden. 🇸🇪. I recieved her 1 month follow up pictures a while ago with a smooth healing and looking more natural already!ı always tell my revision rhinoplasty patients to be a bit more patient to reach the end result for prolonged wound healing and over corrections made.ıt’s whole a different game than primaries but we get there eventually! Thanks to my super cool patient inside&out for this video and ı feel priviliged that she trusted me with her face!✨
