Another 5K in the bag well-executed by .tt 👏🏾🙌🏾

The Run for Social Justice is all about spotlighting the progressive works of Elma Francois & Clotil Walcott - two powerful, female trade unionists & Trinbagonion heroines 🇹🇹

A run with a purpose - that's something I could always get behind 🙌🏾 hence this is my second year in a row ✨

Happy 60th anniversary Cipriani College 🎉 - looking forward to the next 5K

POV: you're newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and you're AFRAID to eat

Client testimonial 🇹🇹

When we started, Afiesha was newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes with an HbA1c >13%

And she was afraid to eat... understandably so

We worked together for two group cycles (6 months total) and she learned how to:

🌱 Manage her carbohydrate intake while on insulin

🌱 Use Caribbean foods to support lower blood sugar levels

🌱 Build sustainable diet and lifestyle habits

By the end of our programs, her HbA1c dropped to 6.7%...while eating local from ALL food groups

Years later, she's still using what she learned - further lowering her HbA1c to 5.6% - and confidently managing her blood sugar levels

I'm as grateful as she is for these results 🙏🏾

If you're ready to stop guessing & start confidently managing your chronic health - I'm accepting a limited number of coaching clients

Finish the sentence: I must add bay leaves to my ____

Our We T'ing Wednesday spotlight is on bay leaf - an aromatic herb that may:

🌱boost immune health
🌱support digestion
🌱support lower blood sugar levels

🤌🏾Personally, I love adding bay leaves to my stews, porridges and pineapple water

❓What do you add bay leaves to?

Managing chronic health doesn’t mean giving up Caribbean foods—provisions, pelau, peas/beans, and bhagi still belong on your plate.

For over 5 years, I’ve helped Caribbean individuals improve blood sugar, cholesterol, weight, and overall metabolic health using culturally relevant, evidence-based nutrition.

This is not a diet.
It’s sustainable wellness rooted in Caribbean culture.
