The day's purpose is to raise awareness of the impact of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and to encourage support for their elimination.

Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) are a diverse group of conditions associated with devastating health, social and economic consequences.

NTD's include conditions such as Dengue and Chikungunya along with Leprosy and a range of other diseases. It is estimated that NTDs affect more than 1 billion people worldwide.

These are all treatable conditions and we’re here to help if you or a family member is affected.
