On Friday 28th November, our Penal Branch hosted an outreach at Prima Supermarket, Barrackpore. Blood glucose and blood pressure testing were conducted by Dillon and Latchmin, along with an informative lecture by our medical intern, Dillon Sooknanan.

They are grateful for the warm welcome from the management and staff, and were thrilled to see how appreciative and satisfied the community was with their services.

🎤📚 The Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago hosted the final round of its DATT Secondary School Diabetes Debate: Debate Diabetes, Ignite the Conversation on Friday 28th November at the Chaguanas Borough Corporation.

Four exceptional schools secured the top placements in the finals:
🥇 1st Place: Holy Faith Convent Couva
🥈 2nd Place: ASJA Girls’ College San Fernando
🥉 3rd Place: Presentation College Chaguanas
🏅 4th Place: Naparima Girls’ High School

💡 The students delivered powerful arguments on trending diabetes-related topics, showcasing their knowledge, passion and advocacy.

🎓 Dr. Matthew Desaine, Education Medical Officer at the Ministry of Education, attended the event and brought greetings on behalf of the Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Michael Dowlath.

On November 29th, A.A. Laquis, in collaboration with DATT, hosted an insightful seminar: Diabetes Awareness: Workplace Edition, at A.A. Laquis Health Care Store, Wrightson Rd., Port of Spain 💼💙

Participants gained valuable knowledge on:
