WHY DO WE FAST IN RAMADHAN? 💚💚💚

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ ١٨٣
O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you1—so perhaps you will become mindful ˹of Allah˺. Quran 2:183

Ramadhan is the month in which the Quran was revealed Quran 2:185

Fasting isn’t abstinence from food & drink, it’s a spiritual awakening/reformation & reconnection to God that inspires us to continue for the balance of the year & beyond IA 🤲

Pap smears are every 3 years from onset of sexual activity after age 21 & continue through to 49 years; Then every 5 years until age 65
