Easter vacation is here!
What are the children doing for the holiday?
Remember to try to limit screen time and encourage outdoor activities.
Some things children may like:
-Try planting a small vegetable garden. Children love to see how things grow and feel a sense of accomplishment if they eat what they have planted
-Plan a family game night. Playing together can be lots of fun but can also help in your child’s development as they solve problems, learn to communicate with each other and work together
-Get children in the kitchen learning to make healthy snacks. Children are more inclined to eat a healthy choice if they have a hand in making it
-Try making your own kites and flying them together. Small or large, kites bring joy to children as they see their creation go floating up in the air

MEASLES IN THE NEWS
There has been a recent increase in hospitalizations for measles and one reported death in the United States.

Measles is a highly contagious disease worldwide, with infants being particularly vulnerable to severe symptoms. Vaccination is the most effective method for preventing infection by the measles virus. Two doses are required: the first should be administered at 1 year of age, and the second at 2 years of age.

At Frontier Kids Care, routine immunizations as well as additional optional vaccinations are provided. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your child’s immunization. Assistance is available. We use some techniques to ease the pain and distress of injections and of course, our lollipops help children leave happy!
