To all my little premie boys and girls- Happy World Prematurity Day 2025! 🥳🥳👩‍⚕️🧸

This princess was just 30 weeks old at birth, but is growing and developing so beautifully at every check- up! 😍🥰

Prematurity is defined as a baby born before 38 weeks of gestation. 👶In our country, a baby born 28 weeks gestation or older is considered viable and is admitted to the NICU for further management. Prematurity comes with risks but these little babies are so resilient. Monitoring their growth and developmental progress once they are dischaged from the NICU, is essential.
To those little ones that are with the angels, today we remember you 🩷💙.

I understand that life is so busy and most parents can only fit in check ups and sometimes even sick visits, when you have time or when they are able to get off of work. I'm here to help Mon-Saturday.
I'm available to help Mon-Fri 9-4pm, Saturday 9-2pm. So I can see after school and Saturdays if you need me.

🧸Check ups for children are quite important to determine if they are growing and developing well as the earlier delays are noted, the earlier intervention can be done and the better the outcome!

🧸Vaccines help prevent diseases so you don't have to worry all the time. So, you don't have to worry about Tetanus if your child gets cut by a rusty piece of wire or get measles when you take your kids to Disney world for vacation.

I am Dr. Cherisse Latchman-Gosine, a wife, mother and Paediatrician. I have been a doctor for 10 years with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share.

I will give advice, provide management plans and support to you and your family during your child’s illness.
