Foodborne illness can turn Carnival celebrations into an unpleasant experience—but it doesn’t have to. Many people underestimate how easily bacteria can spread through street food, especially in warm weather and crowded spaces.

As healthcare professionals, we want everyone to enjoy the festivities safely. Choosing cooked foods, checking vendors’ hygiene practices, and avoiding uncovered meals are simple steps that protect against food poisoning and stomach infections.

These precautions matter now more than ever, as high temperatures and outdoor dining increase the risk of contamination.

Stay mindful, stay healthy, and make smart food choices this Carnival. Save these tips, share them with friends, and help keep the celebration safe for everyone.

Cancer does not affect everyone in the same way — but it touches every community.

On World Cancer Day, February 4th 2026, we reflect on this year’s theme, “United by Unique.”

While cancer is a global health challenge, each person’s experience is shaped by where they live, the care they can access, and the support around them. That is why awareness, screening, and early action must be grounded in local care and personal conversations.

As healthcare professionals, we see firsthand how early detection, routine screening, and timely medical guidance can change outcomes. These steps do not remove fear — they replace uncertainty with clarity and options.

Today is about solidarity, compassion, and practical action.
Save this message as a reminder, share it to support someone who may be navigating cancer, and speak with a healthcare professional about screenings that are right for you.

Hope begins with awareness. Care begins with conversation.

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common viruses passed through intimate skin-to-skin contact. It affects both women and men, and most sexually active adults will encounter it at some point, often without symptoms.

While many HPV infections clear on their own, some types can lead to ge***al warts and certain cancers over time. This is where prevention and early detection make a real difference.

The HPV vaccine helps protect against the most harmful strains of the virus, and regular screening allows doctors to identify problems early — before they become serious. These are simple steps that support long-term reproductive and overall health.

HPV is common. Prevention is powerful.

Save this post, share it with someone you care about, and speak with your doctor about HPV protection and screening options.

WHO warns that millions of people living with Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) continue to face profound and often unseen suffering due to discrimination, social stigma and untreated mental health conditions.

People living with chronic NTDs face significantly higher rates of depression, anxiety and suicidal behaviour than the general population and those with other chronic conditions — yet far too many still lack accessible, community‑based care and support.

On World NTDs Day, WHO launched its first global guide on the Essential Care Package for addressing mental health and stigma among people affected by NTDs
