Hello everyone! I’m Leandra, a yoga instructor for the past 3 years. I began practicing yoga as a form of movement and stress management, in 2012. As a naturally hyperactive person, I fell in love with the true peacefulness I experienced while practicing yoga and the deep relaxation that followed. Everyone will have different reasons for practicing yoga and if you’ve heard amazing things about yoga and have been curious about taking a class, this series is definitely for you!

I will be offering a 2 part yoga foundation series which focuses on some elements of the physical yoga practice which are often overlooked or “rushed through” in your typical “ yoga flow” classes.

This series is meant to educate and empower you, in YOUR yoga practice. You will have the opportunity to learn and try things you may usually be a bit shy about. I truly believe in the purpose of exploration and its ability to guide your personal intuition. Your inner voice and intuition will greatly impact your experiences throughout your yoga journey.

The Sun Salutation A & B Yoga Series are not dependent on each other. You can sign up for one, or both, it’s totally up to you!

A Sun Salutation is a yoga sequence where your movement is synced with your breathing pattern. The repetitive nature of this sequence builds strength, confidence, flexibility, mental focus and stamina.

What to expect:

🔹️Classes will begin on time and end on time.
(We want to respect our time as well as the time of others by arriving at least 5 - 10 minutes early)

🔹️Community.

🔹️Mini workshops - We will be breaking down some of the postures and muscle activations .

🔹️Repetition - To hone any skill, this is a necessary step while learning.

🔹️Modification - Learn variations that suit your body.

Join me for an open air, candlelit indoor yoga class, steps away from a warm, cozy garden surrounded with soft lighting. You will move and flow, to beautiful acoustic sounds from the guitarist, Stefan Roach 🎸🎵.

❄ This intimate event will be held at a boutique yoga studio in Glencoe, and has been curated to help you release all of the cumulative stress and tension from the holiday season. This fully immersive yoga practice is the perfect way to reset your mind, body and soul, to fully enjoy the last few days leading up to Christmas!

❄ What to expect from this session :
This all level ( beginner friendly) yoga class begins with a meditation, helping you to center and prepare yourself for class. A short floor sequence will slowly warm and release your muscles. The class sequence is a smooth and spacious flow through asanas. Finally, we will end our practice with a 10 - 15 minute Savanasa with live accompaniment on the guitar.

❄ After the session:
This warm and fully inclusive space invites you to mingle and chat with your fellow yogis. Enjoy complimentary refreshments including : seasonal beverages, sangria and small bites to eat.

❄Winter Solstice symbolizes the return of light. It is a time of introspection, rebirth and renewal. This is the perfect opportunity to take time to honour our journey, accept it and thus clear space for new beginnings.

We had such a peaceful time at our first class, in the Botanical Gardens!
The weather held up until the sun came out with a vengeance 🙈🤣.
Next week we will shift our location a bit, but class will be happening EVERY SUNDAY at 9:15 am.

I am soooo not a morning person and I need some coffee to feel human again 🙈 ! Lmao.
I'm considering having the class a bit earlier, what time works for you?
