On 29 January 2026, St. Dominic’s Children’s Home marked the official opening of its newly refurbished football field, made possible through the generous support of the and Tobago Mortgage Bank as part of its commitment to community development.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of TTMB and principals of neighbouring schools, and concluded with a friendly football match by students of St. Francis’ Boys’ College, highlighting the shared use of the space.
As Sr. Arlene Greenidge, General Manager of St. Dominic’s Children’s Home, noted, “This restored field will have a lasting impact on the children and young people in our care, offering them space to grow, learn, and thrive through sport and community.”

We give heartfelt thanks to TTMB and all our stakeholders whose support made this project possible, and we look forward to the many opportunities for growth, collaboration, and wholistic development this space will continue to bring to the children of the Home and the wider Belmont community.

On Sunday 30 November 2025, the St. Dominic’s Trade School (SDTS) came alive with the vibrant sights, sounds and scents of our very first Culinary Arts Food Exhibition – Parang of Flavours!
This milestone event brought together students from our Culinary Arts Programme, supported by Term Finance Limited, and our Youth Agriculture Programme, funded by ANSA McAL Foundation, in a joyful celebration of culture, creativity and community.

Under the expert guidance of Chef Alex Chryskarsten, our students delivered a spectacular farm-to-table experience that left guests delighted and inspired. With the support of our sponsors, staff and the SDTS Committee, this event marks the beginning of a tradition rooted in empowerment, education and entrepreneurship.

We look forward to 2026 as we expand to include Life Skills and student-led enterprises, turning knowledge into opportunity and passion into purpose.
