INSIDE THE CLINIC | Functional Hand Rehab
After a broken arm and surgery, grip strength and hand control can be significantly affected.
In this session, we’re using a simulated food-serving activity to work on: • Tong control
• Grasp and release
• Grip strength
• Functional hand use during meaningful tasks
This approach supports occupational engagement by building rehab around activities the client can relate to and participate in with purpose.
Recovery is not just about isolated exercise — it’s about improving the skills needed for everyday life.
By practicing client-preferred, functional tasks, we help restore confidence, coordination, and independence one movement at a time.
📍At Total Rehab, rehabilitation is always goal-directed and tailored to the individual.
