We welcome you and your loved one into our K.F.T.L family. Your loved one has now become our parent and with this regard we can GUARANTEE you that they will be entertained, loved and treated with dignity and respect. Our senior home is most definitely for the young at heart who enjoy the out doors and socialising. We have geriatric trained nurses who will ensure that all needs are met. Our day care services are $250.00 per day, and includes a 12 Hr period from 6am to 6pm. Nursing home fees start at $6000 and it includes Three full meals, laundry, mid morning and mid afternoon snack, just to name a few, it does not however cover the cost of personal items. We are a very busy group and field trips may incur an extra cost. International Day of Older Persons

Today, we honor the wisdom, resilience, and invaluable contributions of older adults at our home and by extension Trinidad and Tobago. Yet, honoring them also means advocating for true equity in the systems that affect their daily lives.

Too often, older persons face barriers in accessing healthcare, social support, and community engagement. We must push for:
✔️ Hospital policies that reduce wait times, support physicians with resources to deliver person-centered care, and prevent avoidable readmissions.
✔️ Social programs that bridge gaps, reduce isolation, and create meaningful connections to combat loneliness.
✔️ Equitable access to services that ensure dignity, respect, and a healthier quality of life for every older adult.

On this day, let us commit not only to celebrating our older persons, but also to building systems that truly care for them—in hospitals, in communities, and in every space they call home.

Because equity isn’t optional—it’s essential. 💙
