Hello Baby Birth Education & Support

Hello Baby Birth Education & Support Your journey into Positive Parenthood starts with having a Positive Birth Experience prepare & plan for it

“What has to fit where, now?”

Birth isn’t about forcing a baby through the pelvis.

It’s about making space — through movement, alignment, and allowing rotation.

Your pelvis isn’t a fixed ring.

Your baby isn’t rigid.

When the pelvis can accommodate and the baby can rotate, things start to make sense.

This is why we don’t just talk about birth in class — we teach the movements that help your body work with your baby, not against them.

Preparation isn’t about perfection.
It’s about understanding how birth actually works.

That time of year again.

Maintaining current registration in nursing and midwifery isn’t optional — it’s part of professional responsibility.

This work has always been grounded in regulated, evidence-based care, and I take that seriously.

Present.
Accountable.
Qualified.

You said next week…
Today is next week 😌
No pressure. Just a reminder.

For anyone who conceived through IUI or IVF 🤍
I want you to hear this clearly:
We can give medications.
We can time cycles.
We can assist fertilisation.
We can guide implantation.
But if that embryo did not want to stay, no amount of medicine in the world could force it.
You didn’t “just get lucky.”
You didn’t “only succeed because of science.”
Your body did something extraordinary.
I say this as someone who worked for years as an IVF nurse coordinator another lifetime ago — from inside the system, not outside of it.
Assisted conception means supported, not replaced.
Your body still chose, still responded, still held that pregnancy.
This was not taken from you.
This was done with you.
💛

Worried about squashing your bump and baby? Watch this.
Your baby isn’t sitting in empty space.
They’re floating in amniotic fluid — a natural hydraulic cushion that spreads pressure instead of squashing what’s inside.
That’s why things like tight clothes, belly bands, leaning forward, or even strong contractions don’t “crush” your baby.
You might feel uncomfortable — but baby is still protected and able to move.
If you ever have a fall or a direct knock to your bump, it’s always wise to get checked.
But normal, everyday life? Your baby is not being squashed.
This is the kind of simple, real-world understanding we teach in proper birth prep.
Prepare for your birth — not someone else’s.

Vervine tea has a long history in Trinidad & Tobago — especially in the early days of breastfeeding. 🌿
Traditionally, it’s been used to help “bring down” milk.

What we understand now is that vervine is unlikely to increase milk production, but may help with milk let-down by supporting calm and relaxation.
Breastfeeding is not just about teas, supplements, or quick fixes.

Milk supply is influenced by: • regular milk removal
• positioning and latch
• stress levels
• rest, nourishment, and support
• what’s happening in your body — physically and emotionally
What works beautifully for one mother may not work the same way for another — and that is not a failure.

This carousel is about understanding your body, not blaming it.

✨ Prepare well for your postnatal and breastfeeding journey.

Our Hello Baby: The Next Chapter – Postnatal Mom & Baby Class supports you with: • breastfeeding education
• realistic newborn care
• maternal recovery
• partner support
• local, practical guidance for real life

We often expect birth to move in a straight line.

On time. On schedule. Predictable.
But healthy bodies don’t work that way.

A healthy heart shows variation.

A healthy baby in labour often does too.

Life is not linear.

Neither is labour or birth.

Preparation isn’t about forcing a timeline —
it’s about understanding what normal can look like.

✨ We prepare you for your birth — not someone else’s expectations.

If you’re giving birth in Trinidad & Tobago in 2026, you may have rights you didn’t know about.
Some of the supportive practices around labour and birth used locally are outlined within the Baby-Friendly Initiative.
In this video, I walk you through: • Encouraging a support person in labour
• Freedom to move and choose positions
• Support for comfort and non-drug pain relief
• Avoiding routine invasive procedures unless medically indicated
• Clear explanations when interventions are needed
I also address eating and drinking in labour — why it’s often asked about, how it’s referenced, and how it’s handled in real-world care.
This is information, not promises — and it’s meant to help you understand what supportive care can look like in our local context.
Save this.
Share it with someone who might need it.
I’ll keep talking about birth in general here — and when you’re ready to talk about you and your birth, that’s when you come and see me.

This is 2026.
We’re done with extremes.
We’re not romanticising birth.
We’re not catastrophising it.
We’re preparing for it — realistically, thoughtfully, personally.

That means: • protecting your energy
• moving your body with purpose
• gathering balanced, accurate information
• preparing for your birth — not someone else’s

There is no one-size-fits-all pregnancy or birth.
And there shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all preparation either.

📍If you want personalised birth prep based on your body, your medical history, and your concerns — I’m here.
