The WHO has recommended new, faster diagnostic tools to help end Tuberculosis:

✅ Portable molecular tests for results in under an hour.
✅ Tongue swabs for easier testing (especially for kids).
✅ Sputum pooling to lower costs and speed up results.

TB is still a leading killer, but better testing means faster treatment and more lives saved. ❤️

Cases of Nipah virus infection were first reported in 1998 and since then have been reported in Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore. The case fatality rate is estimated at 40% to 75%.

Brazil has officially been validated by the World Health Organization (WHO) for eliminating mother-to-child transmission (EMTCT) of HIV! This makes Brazil the most populous country in the Americas to reach this incredible achievement.

This success is a testament to: ✅ Universal and free healthcare through the SUS system. ✅ Over 95% coverage for prenatal care and HIV testing. ✅ Ensuring every child is born free of HIV and every mother receives the care she deserves.
