古早遺留下來的一個觀念:「吃香蕉會咳嗽」、「感冒不要吃香蕉,咳嗽會更厲害」。
老實說,我之前會覺得「真的嗎?」
結果仔細查了一下,還真的有些道理。從免疫學的觀點來看,香蕉含有幾種蛋白質過敏原(例如Mus a 1、Mus a 2、Mus a 3⋯等)
部分本身有過敏體質、哮喘或異位性皮膚炎朋友,可能在吃香蕉後出現過敏反應:咳嗽,喉嚨癢癢的、甚至口腔過敏症候群(OAS)。
另外一個比較玄的,叫做「過敏交叉反應」:香蕉與花粉、乳膠過敏有交叉反應。這什麼意思呢?
部分對花粉、乳膠過敏的朋友,吃了香蕉後,可能因交叉反應,而出現咳嗽。
但對一般人而言,吃香蕉,並不會引起咳嗽。(有點玄,對吧?)
總結:如果你吃香蕉會咳嗽,很可能代表你是對香蕉的蛋白過敏,或者你其實對花粉或乳膠過敏而產生的交叉反應。並不是每個人吃了香蕉都會咳嗽。
老祖宗的智慧,真的不能夠完全忽視
