Dr. Simon Chan's Clinic will general see the following fields: Pediatric, neurology, common cold, gastroenteritis, orthopaedic, cardiac, insomnia, urinary tract infection, blood test, CT, MRI, ultrasound, anxiety, endocrinology, respiratory, diarrhea, gastroenterology, ob/gyn, hypertension, diabetes, ear, nose and throat (ENT). We aim to minimize the time that you need to wait for your appointment.

We also provide annual school physical checkup for TAS or Taipei American school.
For those who need to go to a foreign school or American summer camp, Dr. Chan will do the physical checkup for you too. Dr. Simon Chan graduated from UCLA medical school and has US medical license.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 6:30 pm, and Saturday 9 am-12 noon.

兩個禮拜前有一位日本病人的小孩肩膀脫臼，我幫他裝回去了，他非常感激，從日本寄來一大箱禮物跟感謝函，看了好溫馨

I helped a Japanese tourist put back his dislocated shoulder at my clinic two weeks ago , now they mailed me this big box of assorted gifts from Japan, made me felt appreciated :-)

A new study links watching too much TV with some of the leading causes of death in the United States.
And 80 percent of American adults watch an average of three-and-a-half hours of TV a day, which is more than half of their leisure time. The study also shows that we watch more TV as we age, and it is contributing to a cause of early death.

砂糖や甘味料を加えた清涼飲料水を１日２本以上飲む人は心不全のリスクが２３％上がるとの研究結果が、このほど新たに発表された。

ラーション博士によると、研究チームは対象者に「砂糖や人工甘味料の入った清涼飲料水を１日あるいは１週間当たり何本飲むか」と質問した。これには炭酸飲料などが含まれ、紅茶やコーヒー、果汁は入っていない。

同博士は「甘い飲み物を日常的に飲む人は、心不全のリスクを下げるために摂取を抑えることを検討するべき」との見方を示した。

心臓病や脳卒中のリスクと甘い飲み物の摂取量との相関関係は今までも指摘されているが、心不全に注目した研究はこれが初めてとされる。

心不全は男性や高齢者に多いとされる。チームによると、今回の研究はスウェーデン人男性のみを対象としているため、若者や女性、ほかの民族などにも当てはまるとは限らない。
