有民眾將抗生素當消炎藥用，黃彥儒指出，抗生素是藉由殺死細菌來減輕感染部位的發炎反應，而感冒是病毒引起上呼吸道感染，不是細菌引起，所以感冒不需要優先使用抗生素。
