Congratulations to Joseph Dayan and Hidehiko Yoshimatsu, who are the 2021 and 2022 Godina fellows. Joe is well recognized as one of the pioneers in lymphedema microsurgery in the US. Heidehiko is the first Godina fellow from Japan who inherited the legend of lymphovenous anastomosis from the pioneer- Isao Koshima. Both of them achieved so much in reconstructive microsurgery. Both their Godina lectures are inspiring and educational.

Congratulation to Arash Momeni as the 2023 Godina fellow. Welcome to the Godina fellow’s Club!

It was great to see my old friends and meet some new friends at ASRM meeting in Miami, which is celebrating its 40th Anniversary. I have attended almost all the ASRM annual meetings since 1998, except the Covid-19 years (2021, and 2022). I have learned so much from the scientific programs and enjoyed the worldwide friendships.

Lymphedema Microsurgery

Our Lymphedema Microsurgery Center is one of the best facilities that provides microsurgical treatments for lymphedema patients. Our Center is well-known for the cutting-edge technology and academic excellence in treating lymphedema patients in the world. What make us distinguished from other institutions are our leading innovative procedures of vascularized lymph node transfer and Side-to-End lymphovenous anastomoses (super-microsurgery) performed by Dr. Cheng with the highest success rate of 98 percent. Lymphedema microsurgery has been clinically proven the most effective of treating lymphedema with promising results. A mean 85% circumferential reduction rate in the upper lymphedema limb can be achieved in patients within two years after the microsurgery without wearing any compression garments.
