Ribbond bridge

Ribbond bridges are one of the most popular uses for Ribbond. Ribbond bridges are durable, long lasting, and made in a single office appointment, which makes them a cost-effective treatment option for your patients.

The Ribbond framework can be placed intra-coronally inside shallow preparations or placed extra-coronally depending on the circumstances.

1. Prepare the teeth for bonding and apply bonding adhesive.

2. Place filled composite on abutments. Do not cure yet.

2. Wet Ribbond with an unfilled bonding adhesive that does not contain dentin primers or acid etchants.

3. Press the wetted Ribbond into the uncured filled composite on the abutments and cure.

4. For additional durability, add a second piece of wetted Ribbond into a filled composite on the palatal/lingual side of Ribbond in the edentulous area. This second layer is only placed on the Ribbond in the edentulous area and does NOT extend along the palatal/lingual surfaces of the Ribbond framework along the abutments.

5. Build the pontic with composite or use the clinical crown or denture tooth as the pontic. If using the clinical crown or a denture tooth, cut a groove in the palatal/lingual side of the clinical crown or denture tooth and bond the Ribbond framework into that groove. Cure.
