Today at the ECSA-HC Headquarters in Arusha, Director General Dr. Ntuli Kapologwe signed two significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) following high-level courtesy calls from international partners, reinforcing ECSA-HCโs growing regional and global collaboration agenda and advancing its commitment to health systems strengthening and innovation.

The first MoU, signed with Dr.Salmaan D. Founding Chief Executive of the Regenerative and Cellular Medicine Registry, establishes collaboration under the Centralised Africa & Transnational Rare Disease Registry (CATRDR). The partnership will support rare disease mapping, regenerative medicine pathways, advanced therapy frameworks, affordability models, and structured ethical access systems, operating across the United Kingdom, Dubai, and Arusha.

A second MoU with Solina Richter, Dean of the University of Saskatchewan College of Nursing, strengthens academic exchange, joint research, and nursing and midwifery capacity building for nursing and midwifery professionals across the region.

The engagements concluded with a strategic site visit to the ECSA-HC Ngaramtoni 28-acre plot in Arusha, where plans are underway to establish a Centre of Excellence dedicated to science, research and innovation, advanced training programmes, policy dialogue platforms, and specialised health programming. This forward-looking development reflects ECSA-HCโs long-term vision of strengthening regional capacity, fostering innovation, and creating a sustainable hub for research, advanced learning, and health systems transformation across East, Central and Southern Africa.
