Water is one of the essential commodities to human life ; all living organisms , plants and
nature in general depend on water for their survival. About 60% of human body is made of various types of fluids, which contain water. Some studies have shown that water supply has never sufficed the world demand .The UNESCO report of 1990 and 2013 revealed that about 85% million people in urban areas and rural areas around the world were without adequate water and hygienic sanitary facilities.
Nghulugano village is one of the village found at bahi district in Dodoma region Tanzania.
The community faced with lack of water for more decades now, facing with water shortage problem and Various social, economic problem associated with water shortage which were revealed through survey were water related diseases , high work load and burden of water to women, poor hygiene at primary schools and secondary School, disturbance of carrying water from home to school and low income due to high water expenditure and
fetching water very far from their residential areas more than 9 kilometers.
We raising Hope fundraising campaign to get $20,000 to cover this Stressful lack of water and allow us to make this vital and huge investment.”Which start on 09.09.2020.
Our raised funds focused on;
1. Drilling well =$5000.
2. Buyying moter(Machine) and electrical installation = $5000.
3. Construction of two huge water tanks = $8000
4. Operating cost $ 2000.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES.
▪️Reduction of poverty through increased income and saving.
Indicators:
• Reduced Income spent for buying water from vendors.
• Reduced time consumed by girls and women and children for fetching water.
• Reduction of water- related diseases and malnutrition
Indicators:
• Reduced cases of water related diseases.
• Improved nutrition standards.
• Reduced health hazards associated with water related problems and diseases.
• Social impacts
Indicators:
• Improved girls ' academic performance in schools.The time they spend in fetching
water will now be directed to studies.
• Reduced women's workload on fetching water, as they will get time to do other economic activities or attend seminars, workshop or evening
classes so as to learn new skills especially on micro enterprise and work effectively on small and medium enterprise.
