Our General Secretary and Treasurer are proudly representing 🇹🇿 us at the Regional Advocacy Incubator, organized by .

Together with sister associations from across Africa, TAMA is shaping a SMART advocacy objective to push national policy change and strengthen midwifery leadership through 2026. 💪🏽👩🏽‍🍼

We also took the stage to share TAMA’s bold advocacy work and commitment to ensuring midwives’ voices are heard loud and clear in health policy spaces.

🚴🏾‍♂️💨 Heroes on Two Wheels: When Saving Lives Can’t Wait 💙

In rural Tanzania, emergencies don’t pause. At Mpera Health Centre, a 15-year-old girl—about to become a first-time mother—faced life-threatening complications during childbirth.

There was no doctor on site. Time was running out.

Then came true heroes: Midwife Kennedy Hyera and a doctor from Kagongwa Health Centre, who jumped on a motorbike and raced against time to save two lives.

💪🏾 Their courage delivered hope:
👶🏾 A healthy baby girl, 3kg, crying into the world.
❤️ A young mother, alive and stable.

This is what it means to be a health worker in rural communities:
🌍 Riding motorbikes through dirt roads.
🌍 Showing up when every second counts.
🌍 Fighting to give mothers and babies a chance at life.

👏🏿 Respect to the DMO Kahama, Kagongwa team, Midwife Kennedy Hyera, and doctors everywhere who go beyond limits. You are the real superheroes. 🦸🏾‍♀️🦸🏾‍♂️

Sometimes, a motorbike, courage, and teamwork are enough to turn tragedy into life. 💙

Day 2 – Learning in Action! 📱

🚀 Day 1: Safe Delivery App TOT Kickoff!

Today we officially launched the Safe Delivery App Training of Trainers with 4global Master Trainers 🌍 from Maternity Foundation (Denmark, India & Ethiopia), together with 25 incredible Midwives from across Tanzania 🇹🇿.

Over the next 5 days, these champions will sharpen their skills to make childbirth safer and save more lives 💙👶🏾.
