Kupitia kauli ya Happy Itros ( ), Climate Justice & Engagement Coordinator wa ActionAid Tanzania, tunajifunza namna mabadiliko ya tabia ya nchi yanavyoweza kuongeza msongo wa mawazo na hofu katika jamii.

Ayya Africa inaleta mazungumzo haya ili kuongeza uelewa na kuchochea hatua kuhusu uhusiano kati ya tabianchi na afya ya akili.

Katika jamii zetu, bado kuna hofu, aibu, na mitazamo potofu kuhusu msaada wa kitaalam, hasa inapokuja kwenye afya ya akili. Lakini je, tunajua gharama ya kimya?

Leo tunasikia kutoka kwa Gloria Bulondo ( ), Mhasisi na Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa Ignite Youth Future, kuhusu changamoto halisi zinazowazuia vijana wengi kuchukua hatua ya kwanza kuelekea msaada.

Earlier this week, our team at AYYA, Inc. had the privilege to join the Career Linkage Event hosted by our partners at under the Youth Leadership Program, Going Beyond Project.

We facilitated a powerful session on Mental Health & Wellbeing for Career Growth, guiding recent graduates on how to:
➡️Care for their personal well-being.
➡️Overcome stress during their professional journey.
➡️Navigate challenges while seeking opportunities, and once they secure them.

It was inspiring to engage with brilliant youth leaders who are not only shaping their careers but also stepping into the future as resilient, well-rounded leaders.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to for the invitation and to all the incredible speakers and partners who made this event a transformative space for mentorship, career exploration, and leadership development.

Together, we’re building a generation that thrives, mentally, professionally, and socially.

Mtindo wa maisha k**a kuhama nchi au kuishi katika utamaduni mpya unaweza kuwa na athari kubwa kwa afya ya akili kwa sababu ya mabadiliko ya ghafla ya mazingira, lugha, na mfumo wa kijamii.

Mtu anaweza kujikuta anakabiliana na upweke, msongo wa mawazo, au hisia za kutengwa kutokana na ukosefu wa marafiki wa karibu, familia, au msaada wa kijamii.

Aidha, kushindwa kuelewa au kukubalika na tamaduni mpya kunaweza kuathiri hali ya kujiamini na kujihisi salama. Kwa wengi, hali hizi huweza kuchangia matatizo k**a mfadhaiko, wasiwasi, au hata msongo wa mawazo wa muda mrefu.

Ni muhimu kwa watu wanaopitia mabadiliko haya kutafuta msaada wa kisaikolojia, kujihusisha na jamii mpya, na kujipa muda wa kujifunza na kuzoea mazingira mapya kwa utaratibu.

Kukosa kipato cha kutosha, kutokuwa na uhakika wa chakula, makazi au huduma za msingi huongeza mzigo wa mawazo na hofu ya kesho. Mtu anapoishi kwenye hali ya mkazo wa kudumu akihangaika kuendesha maisha kila siku anaweza kuanza kuhisi kuchoka kiakili, kukata tamaa, au hata kushindwa kuamini uwezo wake. Hali hii inaweza kuchangia sonona, wasiwasi, hasira zisizodhibitika, na hata matatizo ya usingizi. Ni muhimu jamii na serikali kuweka mifumo ya msaada kwa watu wanaoishi katika mazingira magumu ili kulinda ustawi wao wa afya ya akili pamoja na ya mwili.

Matumizi ya vilevi au dawa za kulevya yanaweza kumsababisha mtu kupata changamoto za afya ya akili.

Vitu hivi huathiri mfumo wa fahamu wa ubongo na kupelekea mabadiliko ya hisia, fikra na tabia. Mara nyingi, mtu huanza kutumia vilevi k**a njia ya kukimbia matatizo au kupunguza msongo wa mawazo, lakini kwa muda mrefu, vinaweza kuongeza tatizo badala ya kulitatua. Matumizi haya yanaweza kusababisha au kuchochea magonjwa k**a sonona (depression), wasiwasi, matatizo ya usingizi, au hata matatizo ya kisaikolojia k**a kupoteza mwelekeo wa uhalisia (psychosis). Mabadiliko makubwa ya kimwili yanapotokea ghafla k**a ajali, maradhi au hali nyingine zinazoleta ulemavu, mtu hujikuta akikabiliana na mshtuko, huzuni, hasira na wakati mwingine hata kukata tamaa. Kuelewa na kukubaliana na hali hiyo mpya si rahisi, hasa ikiwa maisha yaliyotangulia yalikuwa tofauti kabisa. Kupoteza uwezo wa kufanya mambo aliyoyazoea huweza kuathiri heshima binafsi, matarajio ya maisha, na hata mahusiano. Mtu anapohisi kutengwa iwe na familia, marafiki, au jamii huanza kuamini kwamba hana thamani, hana pa kusemea, wala wa kumsikiliza. Hali hii huweza kuchochea hisia za upweke wa kudumu, huzuni, wasiwasi, hata msongo wa mawazo. Mara nyingi, watu waliotengwa hujifungia kimya kimya na kuumia ndani kwa ndani. Ni muhimu kutambua kwamba kila mmoja anahitaji mshik**ano, kueleweka, na nafasi ya kujieleza bila kuhukumiwa. Kukaribisha na kusikiliza kunaweza kuwa tiba isiyoonekana lakini yenye nguvu kwa afya ya akili ya mtu.

🤐 Wengi wetu huishi tukipambana kimya kimya na mambo yanayochochea msukosuko wa afya ya akili — msongo wa mawazo, upweke, huzuni, mazingira magumu ya kazi au familia, hata historia ya maisha.

⚠️ Vichochezi hivi haviangukii tu watu wengine; vinaweza kuwa ndani ya maisha yako leo. Kujitambua ni hatua ya kwanza muhimu. Jiulize: nini kinakuchosha kiakili? Unakabiliana nacho vipi? Ni wakati wa kuangalia ndani ya nafsi yako, kutambua mzigo unaoubeba, na kuchukua hatua kabla haujakuelemea.
