Across continents, we united for those whose conditions are often unseen, unheard, and under-researched.

TAPSA Tanzania proudly collaborated with ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฏ Benin, ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡น Portugal, ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ช Peru, ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ Egypt, ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท Iran, ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ด Jordan, ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ Ghana, and ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฉ Sudan to create a global video for World Rare Diseases Day.

๐ŸŽฏ Our mission was clear:
To amplify awareness about rare diseases, advocate for equity in diagnosis and treatment, strengthen international collaboration, and ignite a stronger research spirit among future healthcare professionals.

Because rare diseases may affect fewer individuals โ€” but together, they impact millions worldwide. No patient should feel rare in care. ๐Ÿ’™

Rare diseases may be uncommon, but the challenges faced by those living with them are real and life-changing. ๐Ÿ’š

Most rare diseases are of genetic origin, chronic, progressive, rarely diagnosed, and often life-threatening. Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a story that deserves to be heard.

In 2026, TAPSA is committed to raising awareness, promoting early recognition, and advocating for better support and access to care. As future healthcare professionals and advocates, we stand together to shine a light on conditions that are often overlooked.

Letโ€™s Learn. Letโ€™s Support. Letโ€™s Advocate.
Together, we can make rare visible.
