Our Story

Art Garage Tanzania - by Wonder Welders

Art Garage Tanzania creates hip, handmade, recycled art to beautify spaces such as corporate offices, hotels and lodges and private homes. The fully stocked shop and workshop in Dar es Salaam is the perfect place to visit with the family or visitors to Tanzania to get a glimpse of the artist at work and buy a variety of art works. The Art Garage team can virtually create anything from metal and wood - don’t hesitate to contact us for a commissioned order, corporate art, corporate gifts or trophies for your event.

The Art Garage was founded in 2017 by former Wonder Welders Seif Chembela and Shukuru Lindunga. Both Seif and Shukuru are living with a disability after getting polio at a young age. Positive and dedicated as they are, this did not stop them from building their life. Seif and Shukuru are known to many as the welding supervisor and shop manager at the famous Wonder Workshop (2004 to 2017). They showcased their work to ambassadors, CEOs, presidents (including President Bush and the Obama family), royal families (Prince Charles and Camilla of England, Prince Fumihito of Japan) and many many many visitors from around the world.
