Background, goal and our vision
The founder of Bilka Family Ilala Boma Susanne Stridh Mgonja have always wanted to work to help people in need in Africa. She did not know where to start, but two years ago she got in contact with a woman who was born in Tanzania who was already working with helping poor children. Susanne started to get involved and spring of 2015 she traveled to Dar Es Salaam Tanzania Africa for the first time. In the summer of 2015, she lived for more than three months in the district Ilala ( Dar Es Salaam) where she now has started her project Bilka Family Ilala Boma. The children in the area who live in absolute misery went right into Susanne's heart, and she Decided then to slowly start building up the ghetto by working with projects and start to help the most vunerable familys and gradually transform the area. The goal Is that Every Child Should have his own mentor, the aim is to give the children a better living, give them knowledge on how to "fish" insted of just "giving fish". Susanne believe in creating a life style by utilizing their own natural resources, and craft. Donations will go to programs for malnourished children, school and medical care. You can do a lot with the right knowledge and She want to make Ilala to a Eco Village. Susanne has big goals and large visions and she aim to raise the standard of living for the children in Ilala Boma. Susanne is studying to be a nurse and has one course left to graduate. Her experience in personal development are one the keys that will be used in the project to raise the standard of living of children in Ilala Boma. Our Excecutive Benjamin lives in the area and meet all the children on a daily basis. We have our own doctor who will make continuous health checks of children each month. Our lawyer is our legal support and he will also be close to the children in the way that he goes out to them and teaches women's rights. We will create activities for children and teenagers to avoid that they end up in crime.

Long time no see but today we invited the local people and gave them shoes clothes glasses and toothbrush school material pens and more. They were so happy.

Julen närmar sig och som förra året vill vi ge våra barn en jul att minnas.
I år tänkte jag ta hem alla barnen hit och fira tillsammans. Jag önskar att alla som läser detta vill skänka en liten slant så vi kan förverkliga detta.
Vi är en ideell organisation som idag hjälper 17 barn i delen Ilala av Dar es Salaam med vitaminer näringstillskott samt skola, uniformer och även läkarundersökning.
Allt finansieras via fadderskap.

Today at the beach a man come to me and ask for money for his baby he say she haven't eat, I never give money so I gave her food, the father was so high of smoking ma*****na he didn't want to be on the pictures. He just wanted money to buy more drinks or grass, it really breaks my heart. There are so many kids here living like this. When I gave him the food he said he just want money.
Please be one of us, the children needs us.

Hej alla fina följare läsare samt du som stödjer oss, vi är nu i stadiet att ta nästa steg som vi väntat på länge. För att för oss kunna möjliggöra detta behöver vi all hjälp vi kan få. Vi behöver hjälp med att betala huset en längre tid s*x månader för 2000 SEK per månad samt att vi behöver studiematerial, stolar bord samt sängar.

Tidig morgon i Mombasa där jag vaknade av att ett mail kom på mobilen. Det var från Ministry of Social Fares på Kigamboni. Hon säger dom behöver oss så snart som möjligt samt undrade när vi kunde ses, dom har barn i behov av vår hjälp. Det kändes så bra.
Känns som man gått i blindo ett tag men skam den som ger sig.
Här i Afrika är det tålamod som gäller samt uthållighet.
Vi behöver all hjälp vi kan få nu, vi behöver månadsgivare samt hjälp och support så vi kan förlänga hyran på huset samt handla saker till barnen. Sprid gärna informationen så lägger vi in en högre växel nu :)

Projekt hundgård färdigt igår idag börjar vi projekt för att lägga klinkers en bit på gården så det inte dammar så mycket. Sakta men säkert skall detta bli bra. Vi har överblivna klinkers som vi tänkte utnyttja. Arbete är igång för fullt.

Thanks to all that participated today at our event Run for Life at our home, together with the organisation Give away Smile we really made it great finally after some challenges this Morning.....
We got visit from a orphanage with 45 kids that also participated. We had a cameraman and these pictures will be posted later these are some that we took from our phone.
