Precocious puberty refers to the appearance of physical and hormonal signs of pubertal development at an earlier age than is considered normal. For girls younger than 8 years; and for boys, onset of puberty before age 9 years is considered precocious.

Signs of precocious puberty

Precocious puberty in girls is characterized as follows:

1.The first and most obvious sign of early puberty is usually breast enlargement, which may initially be unilateral
2.Pubic and axillary hair may appear before, at about the same time as, or well after the appearance of breast tissue; axillary odor usually starts about the same time as the appearance of p***c hair
3.Menarche is a late event and does not usually occur until 2-3 years after onset of breast enlargement
4.The pubertal growth spurt occurs early in female puberty and usually is evident by the time of initial evaluation.

Precocious puberty in boys is characterized as follows:

1.The earliest evidence of puberty is testicular enlargement, a subtle finding that often goes unnoticed by patients and parents
2.Growth of the p***s and sc***um typically occurs at least a year after testicular enlargement
Accelerated linear growth (the pubertal growth spurt) occurs later in the course of male puberty than in female puberty but often takes place by the time other physical changes are noted.

Kisukari ni nini?
Kisukari ni hali ya mtu kuwa na kiwango cha sukari kikubwa katika damu zaidi ya kiwango cha kawaida.
Kiwango cha kawaida cha sukari mwilini/ kwenye damu ni

VISABABISHI
Kisukari ni ugonjwa usioambukiza wenye visababishi vikuu viwili:
Ukosefu kabisa wa Insulin mwilini
Mwili kutopokea ipasavyo kazi ya Insulin

Insulin ni kichocheo kinachotengenezwa kwenye Kongosho kwenye mwili wa binadamu. Hutumika kuusaidia mwili ili uweze kuitumia sukari inayotokana na vyakula tunavyokula.
Aina za ugonjwa wa Kisukari.
Aina ya kwanza ya kisukari (Type I Diabetes)
Aina hii ya ugonjwa inasababishwa na ukosefu kabisa wa Insulin mwilini
Kwa asilimia kubwa inawapata watu waliochini ya umri wa miaka 40, na wengi wao ni wembamba kwa maumbile.
Aina ya pili ya Kisukari (type II Dabetes)
Aina hii inatokana na mwili kutopokea ipasavyo kazi za Insulin, na huwapata watu waliozaidi ya umri miaka 40 na wengi wao ni wanene kwa maumbile. Aina hii pia huchangiwa sana na aina ya maisha watu wengi wanayoishi sasa.
DALILI ZA UGONJWA WA KISUKARI
Ugonjwa wa kisukari una dalili kuu tatu tu:
Kukojoa mara kwa mara na mkojo mwingi hasa nyakati za usiku.
Kunywa maji mara kwa mara/ kusikia kiu mara kwa mara
Kusikia njaa mara kwa mara
Kupungua uzito kupita kiasi
MADHARA YA UGONJWA WA KISUKARI.
Mgonjwa kisukari asipotibiwa na kuzingatia masharti ya matibabu anaweza pata madhara mengi na makubwa kuanzia kichwani mpaka unyayoni. Madhara hayo ni k**a:
Kiharusi (Stroke)
Upofu
Matatizo ya moyo
Figo kushindwa kufanya kazi zake ipasavyo
Kupungua kwa nguvu za kiume na utasa
Mishipa ya fahamu miguuni na mikononi kutofanya kazi vizuri
Ugonjwa wa mishipa ya damu na kupelekea kukatwa viungo fulani fulani mwilini
Ketoacidosis (coma)
Na hata kupelekea kifo
Madhara haya huzuilika tu pale sukari isipozidi kwenye damu.

MATIBABU
Hadi sasa hakuna tiba ya kuponya kabisa ugonjwa wa kisukari. Hata hivyo wagonjwa wote wanaweza kuishi na kufanya kazi zao zote ikiwa watafuata na kuzingatia maelekezo na masharti yanayotakiwa.
AINA ZA MATIBABU YA KISUKARI
Kurekebisha ulaji wa vyakula
Kutumia vidonge na kurekebisha ulaji wa vyakula
Sindano za Insulin na kurekebisha ulaji wa vyakula

Kumbuka: Maakuli na ulaji unaofaa husidia mwili kuwa na viwango vya sukari na mafuta vinavyostahili katika damu, hupunguza unene uliopita kiasi, na pia hutosheleza mahitaji ya mwiliya nishati, madini, vitamini na kadhalika ili kuuwezesha mwili kuwa na uzito unaostahili na kufanya kazi ipasavyo.

USHAURI KUHUSU CHAKULA
Epuka kabisa kula vyakula vyenye asili ya sukari k**a vile Sukari, glucose,asali, jamu, p**i, keki, chocolate, soda zote zilizotamu mfano Pepsi, fanta, mirinda nk.
Chai, kahawa, maziwa na uji vyote vinaruhusiwa bila sukari. Club soda na madafu pia vinaruhusiwa.
Usikae na njaa.
Ni vizuri kula mara tatu au zaid kwa siku na ikiwezekana vitafunwa vidogo vidogo katikati ya milo mikubwa.
Usiache kula vyakula vyenye wanga k**a ugali,viazi, wali ila uzingatie kiasi unachokula. Nafaka zisizokobolewa kwa mfano dona ni vizuri kwani hukupatia fibres ( Makapi mlo), vitamin na madini.
Hakuna haja ya kupikiwa chakula chako maalum, kula chakula kinacholiwa na familia yako, isipokuwa vile vilivyowekwa sukari.
Unaweza kula matunda aina zote kila siku K**a embe au papai kiwe kipande cha kadiri tu.
Punguza kiasi cha mafuta yote. Epuka kula mafuta yenye asili ya wanyama. Kuwa na mazoea ya kula vyakuula vinavyochomwa au kubanikwa kuliko vilivyokaangwa katika mafuta mengi, mfano chips, maandazi, sambusa nk. Usipendelee kula nyama nono (ya ng’ombe, mbuzi nk)mayai, figo au maini hivi husababisha kupanda kwa kiwango cha aina ya mafuta mabayayanayosababisha damu kuganda kwenye moyo na mishipa ya damu na kuleta magonjwa ya moyo. Hivyo ni vyema zaidi kuchagua maharage, samaki au kuku aliyetolewa ngozi badala yake.
Epuka unywaji wa pombe kwa wingi. Kwani huweza kuathiri afya yako sasa au baadaye. Hivyo k**a unakunywa kamwe usinywe zaidi ya chupa mbili za bia au glasi mbili za mvinyo au toti nne za vinywaji vikali kwa siku.
Vyakula unavyoweza kula bila masharti ni k**a: Mboga za majani zote, nyanya,matango, bamia, karoti,vitunguu, pilipili hoho.
Ikiwa u mnene kupita kiasi itabidi upunguze kiasi cha kila aina ya chakula na epuka mafuta mengi.

K**a ni mnene kupita kiasi jitahidi kupunguza uzito
Fanya mazoezi ya viungo mara kwa marahata k**a sio mnene kupita kiasi.
