Yogapenda I am a internationally qualified yoga teacher and lover of Life! I teach yoga as a way of Life, not just as a physical practice.

I have a deep connection with the medicinal plants and I have a passion for nutrition, healthy living and detoxing. Looking to combine your stay in Zanzibar with refreshing yoga sessions? Tourists and Residents all welcome! Our experienced yoga teacher, Ilse, will guide you through a sequence of postures, stretches and strengthening exercises suitable for all levels. Ilse is an internationally certified yoga teacher who teaches Vinyasa , Hatha and Yin style yoga classes.All depends on the students. Her classes focuses on improving postural alignment while bringing students into the present moment with awareness and relaxation. Her journey began at a young age with her profound interest in fitness, health and holistic healing approaches. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Movement Science and Psychology and turned to yoga as a way to connect more to her body and her own emotional needs during her studies to reduce stress and anxiety. Ilse completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and is registered with the International Yoga Alliance.She also travelled to India to work and stay with an Ayurvedic doctor where she completed an intensive 5 month Yoga Therapy Course. Ilse guides students into harmony with their minds, physical bodies and the environment through pure presence and relaxation. Offering group classes, private classes, couple’s yoga and family based classes. Classes run for one hour and are held on the beach or your own private terrace. We are excited to share our first blog post about mountain life in the The Sacred Valley.

"It was my “life’s purpose” that brought me here. The first time I came to Peru was in 2014, to stay in the jungle and learn from the mother plant, Ayahuasca. I already knew back then, when I stayed in the jungle of Iquitos that I had a special connection with Peru.

Later last year the Universe brought me back here, and this time to the warm presence of the mountains. What a welcoming embrace that was. I keep loving it more and more here every day."

Today we say goodbye to a very special woman. Her energy has been an asset to our space and we will miss her very, very much.

Thank you Aurélie Meunik for sharing your energy with us. You will be missed and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
