Al Pacino began to receive his first episodic roles in films immediately after he entered the Actors Studio. But not only were these roles insignificant, they were also almost not paid. In 2010, Al Pacino returned to the theater, agreeing to play Shylock in Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice[10]. An interesting fact is that Pacino has already played this role in the 2004 film adaptation. The play premiered on Broadway in October 2010; first week box office was about $1 million
