Arm catalepsy is a classic hypnosis phenomenon.
In somatic hypnotherapy, catalepsy works on several levels and shows the advantages of the somatic approach:

Hypnotherapeutic level
Catalepsy deepens the trance and creates favorable conditions for direct and indirect suggestions.

General psychotherapeutic level
The body learns to surrender control in caring contact, to let go — to trust the process instead of constantly keeping everything under rigid control.

Somatic (body) level
Here we also understand that this is work with muscular tension and suppressed feelings, not just catalepsy as such.

Last Sunday we tested a new group format of the Hypnotic Cradle hypnotherapy

Multilevel indirect suggestions fit for different regression layers, somatic metaphors, gentle touch and holding, early memories, titration, grounding and sound — all came together to create a space where deep restoration and healing were possible without dramatic memory arousal or emotional overwhelm in the group.

If you’d like to heal, enjoy, or learn this method, send me a direct message

SOMATIC CRADLE HYPNOTHERAPY (SCH) — A GENTLE AND DEEP APPROACH TO NON-DIRECTIVE HYPNOTHERAPY.

November 30 and Desember 14 in Philadelphia/Huntigdon Valley (215) 722 9722

Somatic Cradle Hypnotherapy (SCH) is a deep body-centered practice, similar to healing in regression-based hypnotherapy.

At its core, it is a «kind» style of hypnotherapy involving a profound healing trance without directive suggestions. The facilitator takes on a nurturing, maternal-like role rather than the traditional authoritative approach of guiding the conscious mind.

SCH allows for restoration by immersing you in a state of deep tranquility — as if you were held in the arms of a loving mother — even if you never experienced that in childhood.

There’s no need for direct suggestions or reprogram the mind — natural healing unfolds on its own.

Indirect suggestions are gently embedded through the therapeutic atmosphere, symbolic narrative,
and especially during the final stage of restoration — when the nervous system becomes flexible and receptive to change and healing.

Through somatic psychotherapy and hypnotherapeutic techniques, you access deep states of calm, safety, and acceptance.

Your body and subconscious absorb a new experience — and that changes everything.

Notably, most of the process happens through the body rather than cognitive communication and is not limited by language or intellectual capacity.

This makes SCH effective even for those who are «non-hypnotizable,» have difficulty expressing emotions, face language or developmental challenges, or are on the autism spectrum. It can also work beautifully with children.

«It’s a mysterious space where the past and future meet. Some people revisit their childhood, while others glimpse their future parenting. These moments are too beautiful for words.»

THREE CORE PATHWAYS

🕊️ PATHWAY 1: HEALING AND RESTORATION
Resource activation without regression

Duration: 40–90 minutes
Format: Group or individual sessions
Approach: Somatic, without memory retrieval

How it works:
You don’t revisit the past or recall traumatic experiences. Instead, your body receives direct access to states of peace and emotional safety.

Sometimes, emotional overload, anxiety, or internal struggle releases with mild discomfort, but the discharge is fast and gentle.

Even if you’ve never experienced loving, safe maternal embrace — your body and subconscious can create and store that experience now.

What happens:

Deep somatic relaxation
Activation of safety and acceptance on the bodily level
Nervous system regulation
Filling the system with peace and calm
Healing without needing to relive the pain
Helpful for:

Anxiety
Depression
Insomnia
Panic attacks
Post-traumatic reactions
Note: This approach does not replace medical treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider for diagnosis, treatment, and guidance on whether SCH is suitable for you.

Who it’s for:

Those needing fast recovery and replenishment
Those tired of “digging into the past”
Those seeking a safe, gentle healing experience
Those needing a reset without deep emotional work
Result: You leave feeling resourced, rested, and restored. Your body remembers the feeling of safety and peace.

💚 PATHWAY 2: POSITIVE REGRESSION
Immersion into a cradle-like state or being held in mother’s arms

Duration: 2–5 hours
Format: Individual or group sessions
Approach: Somatic psychotherapy + hypnotherapeutic techniques

How it works:
Using somatic and hypnotherapeutic tools, you enter a positive regressive state — as if cradled or lovingly held.

Even if you’ve never had that experience, your subconscious can create and re-live it — safely, gently, and healingly.

✨ Come to SCH if:

You constantly feel tension, anxiety, or fear
You can’t let go of control or relax
You’re low on energy, vitality, or joy
Nothing seems to excite or motivate you
Love or intimacy feel flat, disconnected, or unsatisfying
You experience chronic fatigue or emotional numbness
You carry the sense that “something is wrong with me”
What happens:

Hypnotherapeutic immersion into the resourceful state of early infancy
Embodied experience of unconditional love and acceptance
Creating a new safety imprint at the subconscious level
Deep somatic reset
Rebuilding fundamental trust in life and the body
Who it’s for:

Those ready for deeper work
Those who lacked nurturing care in childhood
Those who want to create a new core emotional memory
Those healing from love deprivation or early attachment wounds
Result: Your body and subconscious remember a new experience — of unconditional love, safety, and acceptance. This becomes your new internal anchor.

🌱 PATHWAY 3: DEEP RESET WITH REGRESSION
Liberating reprogramming of trauma and limiting beliefs

Duration: 1–3 days (retreat format)
Format: Individual or small-group work
Approach: Somatic psychotherapy + hypnotic regression + unpacking and reprogramming

How it works:
Intensive deep work using guided or spontaneous regression into birth and childhood trauma. Through a combination of somatic therapy and hypnoregression, destructive programs are unpacked and transformed.

Rather than implanting suggestions in a trance, we offer supportive guidance during transitional states when your system is open and neuroplastic.

What happens:

Hypnoregression into birth and early childhood trauma (guided or spontaneous)
Somatic release of bodily tension and energetic blocks
Unpacking limiting beliefs and destructive patterns
Deep-level reprogramming
Liberation from traumatic imprints
Formation of new neural and emotional pathways
Techniques:

Somatic psychotherapy (body and breath work)
Hypnotherapeutic regression
Belief and program release
Somatic reprogramming
Integration of new imprints
Who it’s for:

Those ready for fundamental transformation
Those needing release from birth/childhood trauma
Those limited by old beliefs and trauma loops
Those ready for full immersion
Result: A full reset. Liberation from deep patterns. New beliefs and inner stability. A redefined relationship with self and the world.

WHO IS SCH FOR?
✨ SCH may be right for you if:

You often feel tension, anxiety, or fear
You struggle to relax or let go of control
It’s hard to trust others, even those close to you
You seek parental-level love from partners
You find it hard to build or enjoy relationships
You carry a constant sense of “something’s wrong with me”
You feel a lack of confidence or inner support
You want to release childhood wounds and blocks
You need to stop over-pleasing, proving, and performing
WHAT YOU’LL GAIN:
🌟 After SCH practice, real change happens:

You’ll gain:

A basic sense of safety — “I’m okay, and the world accepts me”
A feeling of completeness — regardless of success, failure, or approval
Internal support — no longer seeking it from others
Deep calm and peace — relief from chronic tension
Unconditional self-love — valuing yourself simply for being
You’ll be able to:

Stop chasing love or approval
Accept yourself as you are
Feel “good enough”
Trust yourself and the world
Release deep-seated fear and anxiety
Gain resilience and emotional grounding
WHY THE SOMATIC APPROACH WORKS
💫 Why through the body and subconscious?

SCH is a somatic practice — working through the body. Like a reset in hypnotherapy, it grants access to levels unreachable by words alone.

Your body remembers everything:

Prenatal experience
The birth process
Early months and years
Whether you were wanted and loved
Whether you felt safe or not
These are preverbal memories. Your conscious mind had no words back then — but your body and subconscious recorded everything. And this is exactly the level at which you can now create new imprints.

🔄 The principle of somatic reset:
Depending on your chosen path, you either:

Activate your resource directly (without regression) — your body experiences safety here and now
Enter positive regression — through hypnotherapeutic techniques, you recreate and live through an idealized early experience
Work with trauma regression — unpack and reprogram limiting beliefs and patterns
In every case, your body and subconscious remember the new imprint — and this shifts your baseline experience of life.

👥 Roles in SCH practice

👶 The Child — receiving role
For anyone who wants to receive unconditional love, safety, and acceptance. All genders and ages welcome.

What happens: You lie down in a special hammock or soft surface. Through touch, gentle rocking, and kind words, your body directly receives somatic signals of safety and care.

Depending on the path:

Path 1: You simply relax and receive
Path 2: You enter a positive regressive state via hypnotechniques
Path 3: You go deeper to reprogram trauma
Result: Your body remembers — “I’m safe. I’m loved. I’m enough.” This becomes your new baseline.

🤱 Mothers in Need of Nurturing Themselves
You give so much. You hold, carry, calm, soothe — often forgetting your own need to be held.

SCH offers a deeply restorative experience for women who:

🤰 want to prepare their body and nervous system for childbirth

🌬️ need to release fears and tension related to motherhood

🕊️ seek postnatal healing and emotional rebalancing

💞 feel emotionally depleted from constant giving and caring

🤱 long to receive the very kind of safety and love they give to their children

In this role, you don’t have to “be the mother.” You can simply be — and be held.Safe, cared for, embraced without conditions.

Through gentle touch, presence, symbolic regression, and somatic holding,

you’ll experience what it feels like to be fully received and nurtured.

💫 What participants say:

“I stopped obsessively checking my phone, waiting for someone to call. I used to feel tense all the time — now I feel self-worthy.”

“I feel calm, it’s easier to trust life. I realized I tried to control too much. Now life is unfolding in the right direction.”

“After the practice, I felt happier, more confident, peaceful, and grateful. My relationship with my mom began to heal.”

“More confidence in myself and in life. My adult self feels stronger. These sensations are woven into the body.”

“It’s like I was reborn into a fresh, innocent body. This is a unique process. A second birth.”

WHY SCH WORKS
✅ Works through the body and subconscious
Words can’t always reach preverbal imprints. Somatic tools + hypnotherapy allow direct access to these deep levels.

✅ Like a reset in hypnotherapy
SCH functions like a powerful emotional reset — allowing you to revise your psychological default settings.

✅ Works even without prior experience
Even if you never experienced unconditional love or safety — your body can create and store that experience now.

✅ Three levels of depth
From a 40-minute resource session to a 3-day deep retreat — you choose the right depth for your current need.

✅ Safe and integrative
The practice is held in a space of complete acceptance. A skilled practitioner ensures you are safely guided at every step.

✅ Lasting change
Changes happen at the level of somatic memory and subconscious programs. Your body keeps the new imprint — and that stays with you.

IMPORTANT
Whatever your childhood was — it’s never too late to have a happy one.

SCH gives you what you never got:

To be a wanted child
To grow up in trust
To feel unconditionally loved
You leave with the sense: “I am good. The world welcomes me.” You gain your inner anchor.

🌿 The Next-Generation Evidence-Based Approach in Medicine, Neuroscience, and Hypnotherapy.

Somatic Hypnotherapy has absorbed the experience, practice, research, and discoveries of both modern and classical hypnotherapy, as well as the rich heritage of Body Psychotherapy — from Reich and Lowen to Bodynamics and Neuro-Modulatory Approaches.

Somatic Hypnotherapy has expanded the map of psychodynamic methodologies, integrating the achievements of CBT, EMDR, body-oriented psychotherapy, and classical hypnotherapy.

Recent discoveries in psychophysiology and neuropsychotherapy — from Bekhterev and Ukhtomsky to Porges — have reinforced the theoretical and practical foundation of this method, making it one of the most integrative and evidence-based approaches in contemporary psychotherapy.

💠 Essence and Advantages of the Somatic Hypnotherapy Approach

Somatic Hypnotherapy includes work with trance, hypnotic phenomena, suggestion, and regression to the “core trauma.”

At the same time, non-verbal therapy is possible, as well as work with unclear or diffuse requests through body reactions and processes as a direct path to the unconscious.

It helps release inner tension, muscular blocks, and holding patterns related to difficult emotions, and discharge anxious and depressive reactions, restoring the balance of the nervous system.

A special focus is placed on cultivating a sense of basic well-being and inner peace, forming states of harmony, confidence, and stability.

The method is especially valuable because it enables effective work even with “non-hypnotizable” clients, for whom classical hypnotherapy may not work, creating a natural entry into altered states through body awareness and breathing.

Main Advantages:

Rapid and noticeable results, often from the very first session
Techniques are experienced as gentle, pleasant, and surprisingly effective

Objective physiological criteria and measurable outcomes

Visual diagnostics of core conflicts and reaction patterns

Precise recognition and utilization of resistance mechanisms

Easily learnable and applicable techniques

Possibility of effective work even without verbal access or in resistant states

💪 S*T Is Especially Effective For:

Character therapy and developmental trauma

Symptom-focused interventions

Psychosomatic disorders

Panic attacks

Anxiety disorders (phobias, PTSD, OCD, etc.)

Emotional disorders (depression, apathy, low energy, lack of motivation, indecisiveness)

Sexual problems

🌿 Extended Capabilities of the Method

Somatic Hypnotherapy awakens inner resources of strength, confidence, and resilience, improving mood and overall well-being.

It develops the capacity to cope with strong emotions — anger, fear, hurt, pain — without losing composure.

It is used in coaching to enhance leadership, public speaking, and stress-management skills.

It helps build deep interpersonal contact and awareness of personal relationship patterns, facilitating release from destructive programs.

🌸 Additional Effects

Release of muscular and emotional tension

Increased vitality and aliveness

Ability to enjoy and let go of control

Relaxation across all sensory modalities

Flexibility, learning capacity, somatic awareness

Ability to live in harmony with oneself and the world

🧩 Main Areas of Work

Depressive and anxious reactions

Character and defensive patterns

Symptoms and stress resilience

Inner conflicts and “muscular armor”

Ego functions and developmental capacities

The baseline state of well-being (safety, flexibility, stability, confidence)

🌀 S*T for Hypnotherapists

The method allows practitioners to:

Greatly expand the range of clients and conditions they can work with

Use visual diagnostics of the body and character structure

Apply five practical “maps” of body language

Work ecologically with resistant and controlling clients

Help “non-hypnotizable” clients safely enter trance-like or deep integrative states

⚙️ In Practical Application, S*T Enables:

Gentle reduction of anxiety and resistance

Work with character and defense without verbal access to the “core issue”

Bringing the key emotional conflict to awareness through the body, bypassing cognitive resistance

🧠 Benefits for Practitioners

Extended map of visual diagnostics (gaze, contact, centering, defensive reactions)

Work with preverbal layers of experience

Possibility of non-verbal therapy in cases of alexithymia, trauma, autism, or language barriers

Transformation of resistance into a resource and driving force of therapy

Effective work even with unclear or diffuse requests

💎 The Concept of Basic Well-Being in S*T

Ego: denial, rationalization, projection
Muscular armor: suppression and repression of emotions
Primary emotions: anger, pain, despair, fear, helplessness
Essence: openness, heartfulness, contact with life

🌬 Somatic–Breath Integration
Somatic Hypnotherapy includes breathing techniques comparable in impact to Holotropic Breathwork or Non-Verbal Hypnosis, while remaining more guided, structured, and safe.

💨 Compared with “Non-Verbal Hypnosis”:

Client’s discharge reactions are safely guided and regulated
A detailed map of somatic and emotional reactions is used
Interventions are precise and ecological
Deep understanding of body language prevents retraumatization

🔄 Breathwork Strategies within S*T
1. Self-Regulation:

Release of energy and muscular blocks
Development of stress resilience
Cleansing of pain, resentment, helplessness
Activation of strength and confidence
Regulation of intense emotional states
2. Psychotherapy:

Desensitization
Cathartic integration
Accessing repressed emotions and memories
Regression to the core trauma
“Character reboot”
Restoration of basic well-being
💫 S*T Is Effective For:
Trauma, stress, shock, PTSD
Characterological and psychosomatic disorders
Panic attacks, anxiety, depression, apathy
Low energy, lack of motivation, indecisiveness
Sexual dysfunctions and emotional blocks
