Friends, today we want to raise a very important topic for us.
Recently, we have significantly increased the pace of our work. Accordingly, the number of children with diabetes who apply for assistance is also increasing. We are conducting information work on attracting new parents to cooperation - and this is yielding results. We are also approached by many parents who learned about us from friends, acquaintances or simply on social networks.
Therefore, there have been cases when people contact us without understanding who and why we work. Parents refuse to attend meetings because it will become known in their communities that their family is raising funds for the treatment of a child. And we understand why this is happening.
It is one thing when not everyone in the family agrees to publicize the request to neighbors. And first of all, children do not agree to this, especially if they are already teenagers. Therefore, please note that the decision to cooperate with our fund must ALWAYS be made with the participation of all family members. If there is resistance from your child or spouse, then no fruitful cooperation will work. It is better to give time to more carefully consider all the pros and cons, read more about our work, about its results. Perhaps over time the opinion of the child or family members will change.
Second and most importantly! We work with those and for those who REALLY NEED help. What is meant by this. If your family is financially capable and is able to independently buy sensors and other medical equipment for your child - then we are not for you. Period. We are definitely not the organization that helps everyone without exception. Our help is aimed at those who really need it. Do not waste your and our time if you can solve your problem yourself. Because the moment will come when your neighbors, relatives or work colleagues find out about the collection. And you will be very unpleasant if your request for help does not coincide with the financial reality of your life.
It is unpleasant to write about this, but very quickly it turns out that the person who asked for help does not really need help. And first of all, this will be due to the unwillingness to "light up" in the eyes of your community.
We receive an average of 10 requests per week, and we can "close" seven. The queue for assistance is inevitably growing. Therefore, we ask you to think carefully before making a decision about the desire to receive assistance.
