Stress is a condition in which the body spends all its energy resources to cope with the stressful situation, maintain the vital activity of the body and search for balance.

🔹When a woman who wants to become a mother does not get pregnant for a year, gradually all thoughts and emotions become negative, which in turn contributes to the development of chronic stress.

In order for pregnancy to occur, certain s*x hormones must be produced in the first and second phases of the menstrual cycle. Under their guidance, ovulation occurs, that is, the release of the egg from the follicle into the pelvic cavity, fertilization, successful attachment (implantation) of the embryo to the mucous membrane of the uterus and further growth of the fetus.

🔹During chronic stress, there are:
▫️increased levels of the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline and decreased levels of the pregnancy hormone progesterone. Progesterone is needed for successful implantation of the embryo, its reliable "fixation" in the uterine cavity and further development;
▫️metabolic disorders;
▫️insomnia;
▫️lack of ovulation;
▫️significant changes in the immune system.

🔹Ways to deal with stress:
In the period of conception of a child, it is necessary to rule out diseases of the reproductive system in both partners. And if there are no violations, give yourself time and minimize the level of stress.

🔹And this means:
▫️adjust the sleep mode;
▫️eat a balanced diet — exclude alcohol, fast food, fatty, fried food from the diet;
▫️walk in the fresh air every day to saturate brain cells with oxygen;
▫️normalize the level of vitamin D, E, B12, iron, ascorbic acid, folic acid;
▫️move — walk, run, swim, walk 10,000 steps;
▫️if possible, exclude taking antibiotics, painkillers and other drugs;
▫️relax — do yoga, meditate;
▫️eliminate bad habits.

A karyotype is an individual's complete set of chromosomes. The term also refers to a laboratory-produced image of a person's chromosomes isolated from an individual cell and arranged in numerical order.

🔸Normally, the human karyotype consists of 23 pairs of chromosomes: 22 pairs are called autosomes, and the last pair - s*x chromosomes. Such a karyotype remains unchanged throughout life.

🔸The female s*x in humans is homogametic, that is, it has two X chromosomes. Male - heterogametic, has an X and a Y chromosome.

Chromosomal abnormalities have both quantitative and structural changes. Any amount chromosomes, in addition to 46, is a change in the amount of standard genetic material and can cause health and developmental problems.

🔸A chromosome analysis (karyotype) test is the only test that can confirm a triploidy diagnosis. This test counts the number of chromosomes in a fetus’s genes to determine the existence of extra chromosomes.
To perform this test, a doctor needs a tissue sample from the fetus. Because the fetus and placenta come from the same fertilized egg, a doctor can use a placenta sample for testing.
An amniocentesis can also be used to diagnose triploidy. The doctor extracts amniotic fluid and then analyzes the sample for signs of abnormal chromosomes.

Triploidy may be suspected prenatally, or before the baby is born, if a maternal serum screening test is ordered and has certain abnormalities. This blood test, typically performed during the second trimester of pregnancy, is not designed to detect the condition.

Triploidy can also be suspected during an ultrasound, which is commonly performed during pregnancy to examine the fetus.

🔸This test can help the doctor see if a fetus has certain anatomic abnormalities.

Is it safe to be intimate during pregnancy?🧐😬
There is no definite right answer. If a woman is healthy and the pregnancy progresses without complications, there are no contraindications to s*xual in*******se. However, only a gynecologist, who monitors the pregnant woman can determine the state of the woman. The doctor knows the peculiarities of the pregnancy occurrence, its course, and anamnesis of the pregnant woman.
However, there are factors when it is better to suspend intimate life for the health of the mother and the baby:

World Prematurity Day👶🏼

On November 17, the world celebrates Preterm Birth Day, or Prematurity Day.
Every year, about 15 million babies are born prematurely - every tenth child in the world. In Ukraine there are up to 20 thousand of such babies every year.
Prematurity is the leading cause of death of newborns worldwide and is the second leading cause of infant mortality in general (after pneumonia).
What gestational age is premature birth?
Preterm births are defined as births before 37 weeks of pregnancy, and such babies need special care and monitoring from the first days.
Causes of preterm birth:
▫️ chronic diseases of a woman;
▫ hormonal abnormalities in her body;
▫️ pathological conditions due to pregnancy;
▫️ pregnancy complications;
Symptoms that may indicate preterm birth:
▫️ pain in the lumbar area and lower abdomen;
▫️ painful uterine contractions that last more than 30 seconds and occur at least 4 times within 20 minutes; diarrhea);
▫️ Changes in the amount or composition of the ge***al secretions (more, mucous, watery, possibly with a touch of blood).
Threat of preterm labor:
Preterm birth may be triggered by excessive physical exertion of the pregnant and stress factors. A nutritious diet, physical activity, and a healthy lifestyle are important in preventing preterm birth. What should a woman do if she is diagnosed with such symptoms?
First of all, do not panic. Come for a checkup with your doctor, obstetrician-gynecologist, and report your symptoms. The doctor will then decide if hospitalization is necessary or if you can be monitored at home.
At the first sign of symptoms, tell your doctor and plan for a review.
And remember, premature birth is not a sentence!
