TGR Community Health Center

TGR Community Health Center is a Small clinic located in Kitubulu, Entebbe, with a vision to improve the quality of life of the community -especially the disadvantaged
and marginalized, by providing quality, affordable and accessible healthcare services. The members saw a sharp decline in access to health services amongst their
community after the conversion of the public hospital to a COVID-19 center. The founders came together to raise the funding, plan, and launch the community health center. TGR is located in Katabi sub-county Entebbe Municipality, Wakiso district in the central the
region of Uganda. The sub-county has 5 parishes (Kabale, Kisubi, Kitala, Nalugala and Nkumba) and 18 villages (Abayita Ababili, Bunono, Bunono 1 Bunono C & B, Kabale A II Kabale A III, Kabale A IV, Kabale A V, Kabale A VI, Kabale B, Kabale I, Kawaafu C, Kawafu A, Kawafu B, Kawafu D, Kitubulu A, Kitubulu B, Kitubulu C). Katabi is predominantly a rural community which has a projected population for 154,300 of which 54% are females and 46% are males. The population is engaged in various economic and social activities such as fishing, crop farming, animal husbandry, petty trading, stone quarrying, brick making and sand mining. The other section of the population is employed in schools, hospitals, factories, recreation centers, and hotels.
