DO THIS AND SAVE BABIES
Advanced Neonatal resuscitation comes into play when the neonate does not respond after effective Bag and Mask ventilation.
If Breathing is absent, after ambu bag and chest compression, consider,
Advanced Neonatal resuscitation should start if HR remains below 60 BPM
Use . A vasopressor that improves coronary circulation (flow of blood to the heart itself)
Dosage: Intravenous Injection 0.01-0.03 Mg/Kg
Flush with 2mL of Saline (NS) immediately after administration
Repeat the dose after every 3-5 minutes as you continue bagging
HOW TO RECONSTITUTE EPINEPHRINE 1Mg/mL
Add 1ML (=1 mg/mL) into 9 MLS of water for injection to make a total of 10mLs where = 0.1Mg/mL
Remember the neonate dosage is 0.01-0.03Mg/Kg. (NOT 0.1 Mg/Kg)
So, Use a 2 mL Syringe 💉. Where each small bar of the 2CC syringe = 0.01Mg.
Listen to the heart rate after 1 minute of ventilation and chest compressions
NOTE: Give 1 breath and 3 Compressions (1:3)
