Kampala Hospital was honoured to take part in the Kabaka’s 71st Birthday Run, standing with the Kingdom and community in advancing health and well-being.

Under this year’s theme, “Men for Good Health to Save the Girl Child and Fight to End HIV/AIDS by 2030,” we reaffirm our commitment to prevention, awareness, and collective action.

We also extend our warmest wishes to His Majesty the Kabaka on his 71st Birthday—wishing him continued good health and long life as he leads with purpose and impact.

We were pleased to host the team from Aga Khan University, Uganda recently, who engaged our clinical staff on academic advancement opportunities. This session highlighted clear pathways especially for our nurses and midwives to upgrade their qualifications and strengthen their clinical expertise in line with global standards.

For Kampala Hospital Limited, this is a strategic investment in our people. Supporting continuous professional development enhances clinical competence, strengthens leadership within care teams, and reinforces our commitment to quality, safety, and best practices across all service areas.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our CEO, Dr. Peter Kibuuka, our Clinical Operations Manager, Dr. Kagali Samuel, and our Principal Nursing Officer, Marion Komugisha, for their continued leadership and commitment to staff development. For our dear clients, this translates into safer care, improved maternal and neonatal outcomes, and a consistently high-quality patient experience.

Access to safe, reliable immunisation is a cornerstone of public health—and we are proud to play our part in advancing this agenda.

As a Ministry of Health–approved immunisation facility, Kampala Hospital Limited continues to work closely with the KCCA Medical Division to ensure that life-saving vaccines are accessible, safe, and effectively delivered to our community. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to protecting lives and strengthening preventive healthcare across Kampala.

We are pleased to have received a new vaccination fridge through this program - an important addition that strengthens our cold chain capacity and ensures optimal storage conditions for vaccines. This milestone was received by Sr. Marion Komugisha, Principal Nursing Officer; waludde conrad, biomedical engineer; Sr. Immaculate Icyimpaye from the Children’s Clinic team; and Sr. kemigisha maureen, Head of Immunisation at Kampala Hospital - reflecting the strong, multidisciplinary leadership behind our immunisation services.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and the Ministry of Health - Uganda for their continued collaboration and support. Together, we are building a healthier future - one protected life at a time.

CEO’s Townhall Meeting: Strengthening Alignment, Celebrating People, and Driving Forward Together

At Kampala Hospital Limited, we recently held a successful CEO Townhall Meeting, bringing together teams across the hospital to align on our performance, priorities, and future direction - a true reflection of our values in action.

The session created an open platform to connect on where we are, where we are going, and how each of us contributes to that journey.

Dr. Peter Kibuuka opened with a comprehensive CEO’s Address, sharing key insights on performance, strategic priorities, and growth. It was a moment of clarity and direction, reinforcing our commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Staff engagement stood out as a key highlight, with voices across departments contributing ideas and perspectives - strengthening our culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

We also took time to recognize star performers and celebrate birthdays, adding a personal and joyful touch. These moments remind us that our greatest strength lies in our people.

The energy and participation reaffirm our shared commitment to excellence as we continue to strengthen our systems, enhance patient experience, and empower our teams.

As emphasized by our CEO, Dr. Peter Kibuuka: “Our strength lies in our people. When we stay aligned, engaged, and committed to excellence, there is no limit to what we can achieve together.”

At Kampala Hospital, we are building more than a healthcare institution — we are building a culture of trust, care, and continuous growth.

Together, we move forward.
