Zula Medical Specialists Celebrated World Prematurity Day 2025 ๐๐ถ๐ฝ
On November 22, 2025, we proudly joined the global community in marking World Prematurity Day. It was a beautiful moment to honor our little champions ๐ผ, appreciate their families ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ, and recognize the incredible dedication of our NICU team ๐ฉ๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐จ๐ฝโโ๏ธ.
The event was officiated by Dr. Yodit Zekarias, Pediatrician and Medical Director at Zula Medical Specialists. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of collective action ๐ค in raising awareness about prematurity, strengthening neonatal services, and supporting families caring for preterm infants ๐. She reminded us that World Prematurity Day is not only about acknowledging the challenges faced by premature babies and their families, but also about celebrating their resilience, strength, and hope โจ.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) ๐, 15 million babies are born too soon each yearโtoo small, too early, and far too vulnerable to life-threatening complications. Yet with the right care, most preterm and low-birth-weight babies survive, thrive, and go on to live healthy, fulfilling lives.
One of the highlights of the day was the presentation of our fully equipped NICU ๐ฅโจ, now enhanced with a Radiant warmer, phototherapy unit, incubator, neonatal suction pump, and a dedicated neonatal team ๐ถ๐ฝโค๏ธ. These improvements will significantly strengthen the quality of care we provide to premature infants.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude ๐ to our NICU team, the parents, and everyone who contributed to making this day colorful, meaningful, and inspiring ๐๐.
