This week someone told me, “I just have normal back pain.”

And I can’t stop thinking about that because once upon a day I used to say that until a PT told me it wasn't - Whoops 🤪

Back pain has become so common that we’ve started calling it normal… but that doesn’t make it something your body is meant to live with every day.

If raising your arm feels like something is getting “caught” or pinched… it probably is.

Shoulder impingement happens when structures in the joint don’t have enough space to move smoothly. This can come from tight muscles, poor shoulder mechanics, or postural habits (hello, forward shoulders - you??).

Instead of forcing stretches or hoping it fixes itself 😆.......

Massage can:

It’s often not “just tightness.” It can be irritation in the rotator cuff—muscles that get overworked from repetitive use, lifting, or even just poor posture over time 🤚

Cupping is not new, and it’s not mysterious 🔮

It’s a technique that uses gentle suction to lift the tissue instead of compressing it.

That change alone matters.

Most of what you feel as “tight” is actually tissue that’s not sliding well anymore—layers sticking, fascia holding, muscles staying slightly switched on even when they should be resting.
