CORONAVIRUS: What HPT is doing to keep you healthy …

The world health community continues to monitor closely the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the disease it causes, named "coronavirus disease 2019" (COVID-19). Given this, and the fact that the seasonal influenza (flu) virus is also widespread, we understand you may have concerns about what we at Harbor Physical Therapy are doing as a response. First and foremost, as always, the health of our patients and employees is of the utmost importance to us.

On a daily basis, we take certain actions in our efforts to prevent the spread of serious illnesses like the flu and the coronavirus. Though this list is not exhaustive, it is a snapshot of what we do keep you and our employees safe:

* We routinely disinfect all workplace surfaces
* We change all pillowcases and protective liners between each use
* We wash our hands with warm water and soap frequently
* We routinely use disinfecting spays
* We provide disinfecting wipes for the use of our patients, giving them the freedom to wipe anything down prior to use
* We provide hand sanitizer for the use of our patients
* We clean and disinfect bathrooms each evening

Again, no matter what virus is spreading, our priority is keeping you safe. Please rest-assured knowing that we routinely keep our area clean and sanitary and have robust measures in place to keep you and our employees safe and healthy.

At Harbor Physical Therapy, the Focus is You. We get you back to the activities you love and we take precautions to keep you healthy while we’re doing it.

In addition during this time of worry, we will tailor your treatments so that you feel comfortable. If you feel more comfortable in a private room for the duration of your treatment, we'll make that happen. If you want to work out in areas of our gym that are away from people, we'll make that happen. We understand everyone is a little on edge right now, and we want you to come in with full assurance you're safe.
