MELT with Heidi

MELT with Heidi Learn about MELT...a simple self treatment technique used to rehydrate connective tissue, reduce inflammation & rebalance your body!

The MELT Method is not exercise but a self-care technique that allows people to get themselves out of pain by tapping into the Connective Tissue & Nervous Systems. Symptoms that you may need MELT:
Inflammation
Sleep issues
Digestive issues
Weight gain
Lack of energy
Stress injuries
Joint Pain
Anxiety & Depression. MELT is a simple self-care technique you can use every day to make your body feel better and function more efficiently. Relieve aches & pains brought on by aging and active living. Reduce inflammation, ease chronic neck and low back strain, improve alignment and learn how to keep your whole body working better. My story: After MONTHS of chronic back pain and spending thousands of dollars on treatments, therapies, ointments & pills, I finally found something to not only eliminate my pain but also keep it from returning. I was so impressed with what MELT did for my quality of life, that I decided to become a certified instructor. I felt that EVERYONE needed to know that there were options and there was no one teaching anything like this around Aberdeen. Now I have witnessed many people eliminate pain in my workshops and I get emails and texts every week thanking me for changing their lives and that keeps me wanting to learn more and bring more MELT to our community. I have been using MELT as I teach Pilates to improve my attendee's performance and to ensure that they are getting the best possible workout. The results speak for themselves. MELT has been life-changing for me and for my family. I run most of my classes through our local YMCA but am also available for private consultations, group parties and group presentations.

Save this for later!

Let's review and dive into a deeper look at MELT Technique: Position Point Pressing 👣

By using direct pressure with MELT balls on these specific points you are able to mobilize the many joints in your feet and rejuvenate them with essential fluid!
This will increase the ease of mobility of these joints AND improve neural connections between extremities and every other system in the body by stimulating nerves and mechanoreceptors.

The KEY to position point pressing is maintaining TOLERABLE pressure at each point for 1 or 2 focused breaths. Remember- ONE consistent, compressive force is all it takes to induce a positive change, don't repeat each position point multiple times.

🔵Position Point 1- affects the dome and arch-like structures of the body and stimulates the diaphragm and liver. (All lines and specifically the Rooted Core)
🔵Position Point 2- directly affects the skull, eyes, ears, neck, and jaw. (Back Line)
🔵Position Point 3a- relates tot he solar plexus and middle torso; the thoracic spine, pancreas, duodenum, and stomach, as well as the inner arch of the foot. (Spiral Line and Rooted Core)
🔵Position Point 3b- directly affects the cervical vertebrae. If this point is very tender, it is because Flexor Hallucis Longus is restricted. When the tendon of this muscle is overly taut, a bunion can arise as the tendon slips out of the sesamoid bones. (Spiral Line)
🔵Position Point 4- relates to the arms, shoulders, liver, spleen, and gallbladder. (Lateral Line)
🔵Position Point 5- relates to the lumbar spine, pelvis, kidneys, intestine, and bladder. The lower body organs are stimulated by this point. (All lines, specifically the Back and Spiral Lines)

*dome and arch-like structures= the arches of your feet, the curvature of the ankle mortise, knee, and hip sockets. Inverted dome at the base of the pelvis, the diaphragm, the dome of the lungs, the roof of the mouth, the orbits of the eyes and the crown of the skull.*

🔵So grab your MELT ball and get some whole body benefits!

Happy MELTing!

I love the hand treatment. When did you last treat yours?

I love the hand treatment. When did you last treat yours?

Our hands are the gateway to our world. We use them constantly to physically manipulate the environment, from picking up a big box to threading a needle.

Our fingertips contain some of the densest areas of nerve endings on the human body and serve as the richest source of tactile feedback.

The myofascial sleeve envelops the full spectrum of the fingers and hands all the way to the skull, cervical and thoracic spine, and the rib cage.

On a neurofascial level, when the myofascial sleeve becomes dehydrated, overworked, or damaged, the body will compensate by attempting to "slacken" the sleeve before the motor function of the hands is hindered.

Rather than lose our ability to move our fingers or lose our grip strength, the body will bring the head carriage forward, the shoulder girdle will round and the upper back will become kyphotic well before the hands become unusable.

By treating your hands with the MELT Hand Treatments, we can indirectly help alleviate tension in the neck and upper back!

So now we have to ask...have you MELTed your hands today?
