Workplace bullying happens when someone at work repeatedly treats another person in a way that tears them down, humiliates them, or makes their job unbearable. It goes beyond normal conflict or tough feedback — it’s a pattern of behavior that creates a toxic, hostile, or abusive environment for any reasonable person. When behavior becomes persistent, targeted, and/or harmful, it crosses the line.
What matters is the overall pattern — how often it happens, how long it’s gone on, and how damaging it is.
