🎲 Favorite Family Traditions – Featuring Mary! ♥️

Mary, a beloved resident of Bethesda Towne Square Assisted Living, shared that her favorite childhood memories were all about family game nights. Whether it was cards or dice, the table was always filled with laughter, friendly competition, and togetherness.

As Mary grew older and raised her own children, she kept that tradition going — gathering around the table for games that brought everyone closer. Many here at Bethesda remember Mary joining in on card games often, sharing her warm spirit and bright smile. We’re honored to celebrate the memories that shaped the wonderful person she is today. ❤️

Yesterday, we proudly celebrated our veterans with a day full of gratitude and community! ❤️🤍💙

Residents enjoyed patriotic treats, a photo wall honoring those who served, and music from the Friendship Singers that filled the halls with appreciation and pride. 🎶✨

A special Missing Man Table was also displayed—a powerful tribute to the brave service members who are no longer with us or never returned home. Each item on the table holds deep meaning, reminding us of their sacrifice and the freedoms we cherish. 🙏

We are so thankful for all who have served, especially the incredible veterans who call Bethesda home. 💕

❤️🐺💛 Welcoming the Next Generation of Nurses! ❤️🐺💛

We’re excited to welcome the first group of Northern State University nursing students to Bethesda! These students will be completing their clinical rotations with our care teams as part of NSU’s brand-new nursing program.

We look forward to having these future nurses on site regularly as they gain hands-on experience and learn from our dedicated staff. It’s a wonderful opportunity to help shape the next generation of caregivers and celebrate our partnership with NSU!

🎃👻 Halloween Fun for All Ages! 👻🎃

Today was filled with spooky smiles and sweet moments as the little ghosts and goblins from The Learning Academy brought their Halloween Parade through Bethesda Home of Aberdeen, Towne Square and Parkside communities! 👦🧙‍♀️🧛‍♂️

Residents lit up watching the kids show off their costumes, share treats, and spread so much joy. 🍬💜 It’s always heartwarming to see generations come together to celebrate the fun of the season.

🍂 Favorite Fall Memory – Featuring Mary! 🍁

Mary, a resident at Bethesda Parkside Retirement Community, shared one of her favorite childhood memories of fall — raking up big piles of leaves and jumping right in! Afterward, the whole neighborhood (dogs included!) would gather for a cozy marshmallow and weiner roast. The laughter, the smell of the fire and the joy of everyone coming together made those autumn days extra special.

We love hearing our residents’ favorite memories — they remind us how simple moments often become the most meaningful. ❤️ What is your favorite fall memory?

💉 Flu Shot Reminder 💉

Flu season is here, and we’re getting ready to keep our residents protected and healthy! Flu shots are scheduled for Monday, October 20.

Consent forms have been mailed to those who previously declined vaccines to confirm if that is still your wish. If you had previously accepted the vaccines but would now like to decline, please contact our Director of Infection Control, Stephanie Herman, at (605) 225-7580 prior to Friday, October 17.
