Wednesday was the day for our ridiculously epic Employee Olympics! We had a panel of super-serious resident judges that scored each of the events: bed making, wheelchair obstacle course and putting a puzzle together. There were goofy grins all around!

We're seeking donations to be used for our Secret Santa program and holiday bingo gifts for our residents! 🎁🎅

Requested items: lotions, perfumes, and body wash, small home decor items (new or gently used knick-knacks, holiday decorations, etc), lap blankets, gift cards, snacks, candy, beverages, XL-5XL clothing, soft socks with grippers, and arts and crafts.

The Aberdeen Pink Ladies group deserves our heartfelt thanks for spreading Christmas cheer among our residents with their donation of blankets, games, lotions, nail polish and snacks to be used in Christmas Bingo event featuring multiple prizes.

The Halloween Adventure was a hit from our youngest visitors to the oldest passing out candy! Residents were thrilled to see all the kids, staff and other residents dressed up! Thank you for all that came out to trick or treat! See you again next year!

Our mission at Accura HealthCare is to be partners in care and family for life. Accura HealthCare's nursing and rehabilitation centers provide individualized care for residents and patients to return to higher levels of function. Our intensive medical and rehabilitative services include orthopedic, pulmonary, cardiac, dementia, respite, diabetes, and hospice services for short and long-term care needs.

Our Philosophy

Accura HealthCare is an Iowa-based healthcare company that manages and operates skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and assisted living centers. Accura embraces an upside-down organization philosophy that places the residents, patients, and direct care employees at the very top of the organizational chart.

Also, Accura chooses not to be referenced as a corporate office but rather a Resource Center. The lower an employee is on the chart (thus having more leadership responsibilities), the more responsibility they have to be a resource for those above them. Accura's upside-down organizational philosophy creates an upside-down triangle that is reflected in the company's logo. Also visible within the triangle of the logo is one person caring for another. This symbol represents the meaning of the company's name. "Accura" is a Latin word meaning "to take care of or give attention to." As members of the Accura team, we all embrace our mission statement "...to be partners in care and family for life." As we strive to deliver on our mission, we will do this by adhering to our values of trust, integrity, accountability, commitment, and kindness.
