This Sunday at Kids United…

Nehemiah left a place of comfort to rebuild Jerusalem’s broken walls. Even though enemies tried to stop the work (and even tried to stop him), Nehemiah stayed focused, declaring, “I am doing a great work and cannot come down.”

Kids will be encouraged to stay committed to what God calls them to do.

✨ MAIN POINT:
God strengthens us to stay focused on His work—even when facing opposition.

💡 CHRIST CONNECTION:
Just as enemies tried to stop God’s people, God’s enemies tried to stop Jesus through His death—but God used it to bring salvation through the resurrection.

❓ BIG PICTURE QUESTION:
What is the Bible about?
👉 God’s plan to save people through Jesus.

📖 KEY PASSAGE:
“These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah.” — John 20:31

Want to start praying with (or over) your kids at bedtime but not sure where to begin? We’ve got a simple, meaningful resource for you 💛

Just print the bedtime blessings on cardstock or heavier paper and hang them near your child’s bed. Each night before you leave their room, place a hand on their head and pray that day’s verse over them as a bedtime blessing. You can also pray it with them—or even have them pray it themselves.

It’s an easy way to create a sweet, faith-filled bedtime routine with your kids.

Want me to print one for you? Just ask me (Jessica Foster) at church on Sunday, and I’d be happy to send one home with you!

This Sunday at Kids United…

Even though God’s name isn’t mentioned in Esther, His fingerprints are everywhere. God placed Esther in the palace “for such a time as this” so she could courageously intercede for her people and save them from destruction.
Kids will learn that God is always at work—seen or unseen—bringing about His good plans.

✨ MAIN POINT:
God is always working behind the scenes to protect and save His people.

💡 CHRIST CONNECTION:
Just as Esther was in the right place at the right time to save her people, Jesus came at the perfect time to save us from sin.

❓ BIG PICTURE QUESTION:
How did God plan to fix what sin broke?
👉 God planned to send Jesus.

📖 KEY PASSAGE:
“Look, this is our God… He has saved us.” — Isaiah 25:9

💜 Kids United Wednesday Recap 💜

This week at Kids United, we talked about how we can trust God no matter what.

The kids learned about David and Goliath and how David wasn’t afraid because he knew God was with him. We talked about how life can sometimes feel scary or confusing, but God is always the same and always cares for us. Because of that, we can feel safe knowing we’re not alone.

Ask your child:
👉 What helps you feel brave when something feels hard?

We loved spending time together and can’t wait to see everyone next Wednesday! 💜

📖 Read Together at Home

Hebrews 13:8 – God doesn’t change.

Psalm 56:3 – When I’m scared, I can trust God.

Join us next Wednesday to come learn how God is always with us!

Kids United Bus Ministry Families 💛

Due to weather and the cancellation of our first service, the Kids United Bus Ministry will not be running this Sunday.

If you’re able to safely travel, we would love for your family to join us in person for our 11:00am service. Kids United will be available during the service, and we’d be so glad to worship together as one church family.

If you’re unable to make it, please know we’ll be uploading the service to our YouTube channel so you can still participate from home.

Thank you for your understanding—please travel safely, and we hope to see you at 11:00am!

Did you know our nursery isn’t just childcare?

During our services, our nursery team shares simple Bible stories, prayers, and faith-based activities designed especially for our youngest children. We are intentional about planting seeds of faith early while providing a safe, caring space for families to worship with peace of mind. 👶✨

This Sunday in the nursery:
Our kids learned that God spoke to His people through the prophet Zechariah. God gave Zechariah special visions to remind the people that He was in control and that help was coming. Most importantly, they learned that God promised a special King who would bring peace—Jesus! 👑💛

🛠️ Unit 17, Session 2 — Rebuilding the Temple (Ezra 4–6; Haggai 1–2)

This Sunday at Kids United…

The people began rebuilding God’s temple with excitement—but quit when opposition came. God sent the prophet Haggai to remind them that their own homes were finished while God’s house remained in ruins. Encouraged by God’s Word, the people went back to work and completed the temple.

Kids learn that God desires to be close to His people—and Jesus provides something even better than the temple: God with us always.

✨ MAIN POINT:
God calls His people to put Him first and worship Him wholeheartedly.

💡 CHRIST CONNECTION:
The temple was where God’s presence dwelled, but Jesus gives us something better, direct access to God through His death and resurrection.

❓ BIG PICTURE QUESTION:
How did God plan to fix what sin broke?
👉 God planned to send Jesus.

📖 KEY PASSAGE:
“Look, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he has saved us.” — Isaiah 25:9

🏡 Unit 17, Session 1 — God Brought His People Home (Ezra 1–3)

This Sunday at Kids United…

God kept His promise! After 70 years in exile, He moved the heart of King Cyrus to send His people home—with everything they needed to rebuild. Their first priority? Worship. Before building the temple’s foundation, they rebuilt the altar so they could return to honoring God.

Kids will learn that true restoration starts with turning our hearts toward God.

✨ MAIN POINT:
God keeps His promises and restores His people.

💡 CHRIST CONNECTION:
Just as God brought His people home, one day He will gather all who trust in Jesus into His perfect kingdom where there will be no tears—only joy and worship forever.

❓ BIG PICTURE QUESTION:
How did God plan to fix what sin broke?
👉 God planned to send Jesus.

📖 KEY PASSAGE:
“Look, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he has saved us.” — Isaiah 25:9
