To protect our patients, visitors and staff amid increased respiratory illness in the region, Memorial Hospital has updated visitor guidance, effective today, January 16, until further notice:

• Children 12 and under should not visit inpatients.

• Visitors with compromised immune systems or pulmonary conditions should visit only if absolutely necessary.

• Hand hygiene: Please wash your hands before entering a patient room and upon leaving the facility.

• Masks are available for your protection.

• Compassionate exceptions to these guidelines will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

MHS EMPLOYEES DONATE TO CHAPMAN USD 473 FOR SCHOOL LUNCH ACCOUNT BALANCES

Employees of Memorial Health System (MHS) in Abilene participated in another “Jeans Day” fundraiser throughout the month of December. Employees make a donation, of at least $2, and are allowed to wear blue jeans at work. A total donation of $857 was presented to Chapman USD 473 to go towards balances on school lunch accounts. The monthly Jeans Day fundraiser is organized by the MHS Employer of Choice (EOC) committee.
