Established birth center facility for sale in Abilene, Texas!--$675,000

Custom built in 2021, the Heritage Birth Center in Abilene is 2,561sqft, with three birth suites and two office spaces, set on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood, only two minutes away from the hospital. Each birth room has a unique custom ceiling, full ensuite bathroom and an attached privacy patio with squatting bars and astroturf to be soft on laboring bare feet. Built-in cabinetry with lots of storage, upgraded countertops, and a sink are in each birth room for midwife ease. In 2025, two brand new HVAC systems were installed with new ductwork for maximum energy efficiency, and with a tankless hot water heater, your clients will never run out or have to wait for hot water for their showers or extra-large birthing tubs. The reception area is cozy and comfortable, but also large enough to host childbirth education, parenting and breastfeeding classes.

Not only is this a fabulous facility, but it is an important asset to this community since it is the ONLY birthing center for a 2-hour radius. There are several home birth midwives who practice in the area, but our hospital midwife will soon no longer be doing births, and there is an OB/GYN shortage in Abilene. Adding to this, the fact that I am moving and no longer taking new clients, many families are already feeling the effects of living in a community where there are not enough providers to keep up with demand.

This birth center has been very profitable for me as a solo-practice CPM, who is almost exclusively self-pay, taking about 50 births a year, but it would be even more so for a CNM who is able to bill BCBS and Tricare insurances. My family and I are moving a couple hours away to be closer to Fort Worth for the needs of our kids, but I’m happy to help you get set up to run the birth center and to integrate you in the medical community. I very much want to keep this birth center an option for all the clients in the community who desire it, so I will help you in any way I can to make sure that you are successful!

When you get to do births with your best friend (the fabulous chiropractor Dr. Michaele Posey), they're just more fun 😍😘😆🤣. I don't remember what you said that made me crack up, but I love getting to take care of our mamas and babies together.

I love when clients bring their babies to visit me! This beautiful boy is almost 4 months old and has the sweetest smile and personality. Loved getting to hug and catch up with his mama too since I’ve missed seeing her for visits 🥹🥰

This precious repeat family of mine has blessed me by choosing me to deliver all 4 of their children! Even once I moved from Lubbock to Abilene, they drove over 2 hours each way to see me for their last 3 births.

This mom and dad, they're so in tune with each other and I love seeing them support each other and get closer through each birth they experience. While this pregnancy and birth were definitely the most challenging for this mom, she never lost faith and never gave up, and her husband was there to support her every step of the way.

Two weeks ago, we welcomed sweet 6 # 13oz baby William "Billy" into the world, to join his older siblings Windy, Wyatt and Waylen. (Fun fact, all 4 kids have W.W.W. for initials!)

Today I get to celebrate 21 years doing birth work!!!

I've attended over 550 births, been a Licensed Midwife for 12.5 years, and was a student midwife and doula in the 8.5 years before that, and all these moms and babies are still so special to me. Being chosen to be present to help God's miracle come into the world, and watch not only a child be born, but a mother as well......there's just nothing like it.

Thank you to all those who have blessed me with the honor of choosing me to attend their births, and for all those to come in the future, I can't wait to walk this journey with you!

Heritage Births is looking for a PRN nurse birth assistant to help out with some of our births periodically! Ideal candidate is:

***reliable to answer her phone to come attend a birth (even in the middle of the night, since we never know when babies decide to make their arrivals ☺️)
***passionate about assisting with natural unmedicated birth and willing to be trained by Alex to learn more
***BLS and NRP certified (or willing to get these)
***trained in IM injections and IV starts
***lives within 30 or so minutes of Heritage Births
***has another source of income since this wouldn't be enough to be a sole job for someone....it's "fun money" while watching miracles come into the world! 😉😆🥰😍
