With the high risk for winter weather, ice, and snow on Friday night and Saturday morning, we have made the decision to be closed on Saturday, January 24th for the safety of our staff and patients. Any medications that could not be filled until Saturday, we will fill them on Friday. Please plan ahead for the winter weather. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please stay safe and warm!

We are looking for an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team full-time! If you’re detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about patient care, this could be a great opportunity for you.
💊 Position Highlights:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the supervision of the Pharmacist-in-Charge and play a key role in daily pharmacy operations, including:
• Filling prescriptions (counting, labeling, packaging, reconstituting)
• Processing insurance and third-party claims
• Communicating with patients, doctors, nurses, and insurance companies
• Maintaining patient records and inventory
• Handling payments and assisting customers
• Managing reports, stocking, and organization
• Ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and HIPAA requirements
• Supporting teamwork in a fast-paced environment
✅ Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years old
• Texas Pharmacy Technician license
• Prior pharmacy experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently
• Must be able to stand, lift, and work regularly Monday – Friday 8-5

💡 Imagine this:
You walk into Target, grab a cart full of stuff — clothes, electronics, food — and at checkout the cashier says:

“Don’t worry, we’ll pay for it. Hopefully we’ll get reimbursed in a few weeks… but probably for less than what it cost us.”

Sounds insane, right? No business in America could survive like that.

But that’s exactly what independent pharmacies do every single day.
• They hand patients life-saving medications.
• They pay upfront out of their own pocket.
• Then they wait weeks (or months) for PBMs -Pharmacy benefit managers- to reimburse them… often for less than the cost of the drug.

Independent pharmacies aren’t failing because of bad business.
They’re failing because they’re forced to run a business model that no other industry would tolerate.

📉 Until PBM reform happens, more community pharmacies will close — and patients will be left behind.
