đź’™ Grateful for Rotary Support! đź’™

Today, we had the honor of visiting the Rotary Club of Abilene luncheon to accept a generous grant on behalf of PMCM in support of affordable lab services for uninsured patients in our community.

We are so thankful to the Rotary Club and their ongoing commitment to making Abilene stronger and healthier. Each year, their Taste of Abilene fundraising event brings people together to enjoy great food while raising funds for local nonprofits — including PMCM.

🎉 The next Taste of Abilene event is on April 14th — and we encourage you to check it out and support this great tradition!

đź’™ Community Connections at TSTC đź’™

PMCM was grateful to participate in the TSTC Community Resource Fair yesterday (2/18)! Thank you to TSTC for hosting such a wonderful event and for creating space to connect individuals with helpful resources available throughout the Abilene area.

A huge thank you to Lorri from the PMCM team for organizing our booth and serving as such a fantastic ambassador for the patients and families we currently serve and those we hope to in the future. She loved sharing information about our services, visiting with attendees, and even hosting a raffle for a car first aid kit!

We’re thankful for opportunities like this to continue building community partnerships and spreading the word that PMCM is here to serve. 💙

We’re grateful to the West Texas Tribune for visiting PMCM and helping shine a light on affordable health care resources available to uninsured neighbors across the Abilene area and surrounding counties. 💙

Thank you to Baylie Simon for telling this important story — we don’t want to be a best-kept secret in Abilene!

📣 New Patient Eligibility Screener Available!

We’re often asked: “Who is eligible to receive care at PMCM?”

To make that question easier to answer, we’ve added a new Patient Eligibility Screener to our website — a quick and simple way to see if someone may qualify for services at Presbyterian Medical Care Mission.

âś… Just 4 short questions about:
• Age
• Insurance status
• Household income
• Number of people in the household

That’s it!

If you’re curious for yourself, know someone who may be eligible, or would like to refer a prospective patient or community member, we’d be grateful if you shared this resource.

đź’™ The Heart of the Mission đź’™

The heart of The Medical Care Mission is the people — our current staff, volunteers, board members, and all those who have faithfully served our neighbors in the Abilene area.

We are standing on the shoulders of the many who have come before us. Over the past 43 years, countless medical professionals, clerical and administrative volunteers, community leaders, and supporters have poured their time, compassion, and talents into this mission.

Thank you to every person who has helped make Christ-centered, quality medical care possible. Your service is the heartbeat of PMCM. đź’™

🌟 Caring for Abilene with Compassion and Purpose 🌟

The Medical Care Mission exists to provide, in a Christian setting, quality health care to persons in the Abilene area.

Through the support of dedicated medical professionals and volunteers, we are able to offer affordable services for uninsured adults such as:

âś… Primary care
âś… Prescription assistance
âś… Lab draws
…and more

Every day, we are reminded that healing happens not only through medicine, but through compassion, dignity, and community.

đź’™ We are grateful to serve Abilene and walk alongside our neighbors in need.

PMCM was fortunate to make the drive and participate in Texas Association of Charitable Clinics first-ever Dallas Regional Leadership Summit. It was a pleasure meeting with TxACC leaders who so strongly advocate for charitable clinics like PMCM, as well as connecting with clinic leaders from across North Texas.

These conversations around disaster preparedness, clinic growth, funding, and the everyday challenges clinics face are so important as we all work toward the same goal: delivering high-quality, affordable, and accessible care to the patient populations we serve.

Thank you to TxACC for creating space for collaboration and shared learning, and to all who made the summit meaningful. We’re grateful to be part of a network committed to strengthening clinics and communities across Texas. Looking forward to the next one!

We were so grateful to spend part of today serving alongside the The Salvation Army of Abilene, Texas at their Angel Tree distribution event! We had a wonderful time helping hand out Christmas gifts and food to children and families, while also sharing information about Presbyterian Medical Care Mission for those who may need our services.

We are proud to collaborate with the Salvation Army as we serve our neighbors and care for our community—especially during this special season of giving.

2 Corinthians 9:12 reminds us that serving others not only meets real, physical needs but also overflows into thanksgiving and praise to God.

Thank you to everyone who made today possible and helped bring hope, joy, and support to families this Christmas. 💙🎄

We had such a wonderful time hosting a community resource table at last night’s H-E-B Feast of Sharing at the Convention Center! 💛

It was a joy to meet so many friendly faces and share more about the Presbyterian Medical Care Mission and the services we provide — including accessible, affordable primary care and prescription assistance for low-income and uninsured adults in our community.

We also loved handing out gloves and information packets, along with a small encouragement from Philippians 4:6–7. Our hope is that these items offer both warmth and peace as we head into the holiday season. 🧤✨

Thank you to H-E-B for hosting such a beautiful event, and to everyone who stopped by our table!
