Today, our hearts are heavy as we grieve the tragic loss of two Clyde ISD high school students following today’s train accident. My deepest, most heartfelt condolences go out to their families, friends, classmates, educators, and the entire Clyde community. 💔
This graphic captures something important about grief—we often expect it to follow a neat, predictable path, but in reality it’s messy, nonlinear, and deeply personal. You may feel anger, sadness, numbness, confusion, or even moments of “okay-ness” that come and go without warning. All of it is valid. There is no right or wrong way to grieve.
In times of sudden and traumatic loss, it’s especially important to seek support rather than carrying the weight alone. If you or your child are struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or unsure how to process what’s happened, please know that help is available. I am more than happy to provide support or help connect you with appropriate resources.
Please continue to check in on one another with compassion and gentleness. You are not alone!
