Office Safety Precautions in Effect During the Pandemic

My office is taking the following precautions to protect patients and help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

• Office seating in the waiting room and in therapy/testing rooms has been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.
• Both patients and staff wear masks.
• We maintain safe distancing.
• Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.
• Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the therapy/testing rooms, the waiting room and at the reception counter.
• I schedule appointments at specific intervals to minimize the number of people in the waiting room.
• I ask all patients to wait in their cars or outside until no earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment times.
• Physical contact is not permitted.
• Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.
• Common areas are thoroughly disinfected at the end of each day.

I hope this message finds you all safe and taking the best precautions. Ralph Northam, governor of Virginia, has declared a state of emergency and has closed all schools for the next 2 weeks to decrease Covid19 infection rates. Please take care to distance yourself socially, isolate or self-quarantine if you are elderly or have contact with the elderly or other at risk individuals. If you'd like to reschedule your appointment here, or have a phone or video session instead of an in-person session, please let me know. I'll try to stay available as long as I can, but I also want you all to be safe. Please do give me as much notice as possible if you need to cancel your appointments. Thank you! Stay safe everyone!
