TEAM SPOTLIGHT: Meet Nicole Seekford!

At McComas, we take pride in the amazing people who make up our team. Today we are excited to shine the spotlight on Nicole Seekford, our newest Funeral Director. She has become a key player within our team.

Nicole started working with us August of 2023 as an Apprentice and received her license in February 2025. Since 2023, Nicole has been a positive, hard working, constantly wanting to learn and take on new challenges Director. We have been very blessed to have her a part of our group as well helping families during a difficult time.

Let's get to know Nicole a bit more!

I am a newly licensed funeral director!

What interested me in funeral service was being able to help people during the hardest times in their life. Being able to guide people with compassion and empathy was something that I knew I was made for.

My favorite genre of music is probably 90s rock, but I listen to all types of music. I love going to concerts and seeing live music.

My favorite movies are horror movies.

I have six adorable spoiled little dogs. (see the pics below!)

Nicole, we appreciate all that you do!

Thank you Nicole for sharing.

A Gentle Reminder for Our Veterans & Their Families

At McComas Family Funeral Homes, it is our honor to serve those who have served our country.

If you or your loved one is a veteran, we encourage you to make sure your Honorable Discharge paperwork (DD-214) is located and kept in a safe, accessible place. A DD-214 is required in order to obtain a flag and schedule military honors at the time of funeral services.

If you need assistance obtaining a copy of discharge records, the National Archives is a reputable resource: https://www.archives.gov however, this usually takes time to process.

We want to ensure every veteran receives the full recognition and honors they deserve. Planning ahead helps us honor their service without delay.

If you have any questions, our team is always here to help guide you through the process.

❤️🤍💙 Honoring Those Who Served — Always.

Terrance Jaden Jones, age 18, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Baltimore.

Terrance was born in Maryland to Kierra Brown and Edward Jones.

Terrance was a kind young man who did not ask for much. Whatever he wanted, he worked hard to achieve. He was a gentle kid who grew into a great young man. Terrance loved his parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins deeply. He especially loved basketball, and his favorite team was the Golden State Warriors. One of his favorite sayings was, “God got me.” At the end of the day, we are not here to mourn his death but to celebrate his life and the memories he created that touched all of us. May we continue to keep his memory and legacy alive, just as he would have wanted.

Terrance is survived by his loving family: his mother, Kierra (Naim) Brown; his father, Edward (Kristy) Jones; his sisters, Cioney Jones and Lashawna McMillan; his brother, Jeramiah Jones; his grandmothers, Julia Stevenson and Lisa Mack; his grandfather, Rafael Mack; his uncles, Robert Jones and Charlie Brown; his aunts, Iris Jones and Jocelyn Mack; and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
